[Discussion] - Event Opinion, what are you going to choose, and why?

I'm not doing the event. I'm not currently playing STO, unfortunately I don't have the time for it right now.

But either way, there is no lobi or lockbox ship I absolutely need. Maybe some day one of the Jem'hadar ships for the CRF trait, but other than that I'm happy with my Defiant and Sovereign.

Decisions, decisions...

As I have accepted I am an alt-aholic, leaning towards the T6 coupons or the Lobi (can get two ships if wait for a Lobi Sale).
That way I can support more than one toon.
Though will make the final decision upon actually getting the choice.

I polled above for the Lobi, mainly b/c I'd have a hell of a time choosing which alt gets which ship. I'm not even 100% sure I'll keep at this. I went 1000/3500 on the Breach event, but I'm getting a little done with the grind-as-a-feature nature of this game.

For me, and most likely for a lot of other players, this will be a choice between a gamble starship and a non-gamble starship. Being able to choose any gamble starship without gambling or relying on someone else gambling is HUGE, even if you can choose only one starship for one character. While other options do have value especially if you're F2P, neither of them remove the gambling aspect you need to obtain the starship. C-Store ships you just buy with ZEN and with lobi (although much cheaper on the exchange for lobi ships) you get a guarenteed amount of lobi for each box you open.

I personally would choose the Infinity promo/lockbox ship although I'm not sure which ship I'll choose. Maybe I'll keep it unboxed to clone on tribble.

There isn't enough c-store ships I'm interested in at the moment to make the 2 coupons more attractive than just waiting on my LTS zen, but because I'm alt-happy it makes it really hard to choose just one gamble ship for just one of them. I'll probably end up going Lobi to maybe pick up a few things during a Lobi sale, but I may play it by ear and go with a space barbie choice when it comes time. I figure I have plenty of time to think about it at this point.

I don't play much these days though I'd toyed with an Inquiry class. Thinking about it however, I may just get the Discovery D7 for my Klingon as I've neglected them for virtually the entire life of STO.

Most likely a lockbox/promo ship. I'm leaning towards the Mirror Crossfield or the Mirror Constitution. The Constitution has a 5/3 layout and the better trait, but I LOVE the Crossfield. I remember having some giant coffee table book full of movie stills and art when I was a kid, and being disappointed that original concept art never made it to the big screen.

If you are looking at the mirror crossfield, maybe invest in the first anniversary ship pack that has the legendary crossfield with all the traits and vanities? Just a thought, plus you'd get the other ships.

Been thinking of going for Strike ship t6 or recon t6 due to the Go for the kill trait, would be nice to make a cannon rapid fire build. But I could also go for a bit more fun ship thought.

Well you could get three ships if they do another one of those 50% off the lobi store...but question is if they do more how few and far between are they?

When was the last new lobi ship? I can't remember anything new except for the Hur'q one and that was over a year ago. Everything else has been refitted versions of the old T5's and we still don't have the Hirogen ones done yet either.

Promo ship on my main, lobi on alt account.
And not sure about the two other alts. I was thinking of the two T6 tokens to sell/trade but if they are bound, then Lobi may be the best option.

The Hurq ships were truly the last "new" ones...unless you could the T6 versions of former T5 lobi ships

I think the Hirogen ships are the last lockbox ships that haven't gotten a T6 treatment
