I have an Apple Arcade subscription so I might give this a look-see. It looks very similar to Marvel Strike Force and Raid Shadow Legends (both of which I already play).

So, in short - absolutely NOT worth it IMHO. I went in not expecting a AAA game, but what I experienced was essentially a churn and burn free to play (i.e. buy things in the store!) with no original game mechanics. The story (at least as far as I got) was ok, but it was constant turn-based "combat" battles, with some (very few) "choice" options that would lead you down a different path for that mission (but you'd end up at the same end point) and some "Shuttles" which were similar to STO bridge officer missions that gave you "materials" to upgrade gear and such.

Even that would have been okay and enjoyable for the story and nostalgia if it hadn't been for the constant glitches/issues that eventually made the game unplayable (literally).

1. For some reason, I had an invincible character glitch, where the last of my characters to be alive would stay at 1 HP no matter what they were hit with. So I sped up the mission time and used them to kill the bad guys even when my other characters had been incapacitated.

2. There seemed to be some sort of glitch in the nexus where Dr. McCoy was part of all the dialogue, even though he wasn't on my crew AT ALL. I think I was supposed to get him as a crew member at the start during the tutorial, but that didn't happen (maybe I somehow skipped it?)

3. Controls were all over the place. I managed to somehow glitch through the first 4-5 "choice" menus during the choose your own adventure parts.

4. When I logged in today to play, I had to restart it, because instead of dialogue and buttons, I was getting raw code (i.e. Instead of dialogue text, I was getting stuff like DIALOGUE(Bones)_MissionText_UI....etc.)

5. When I restarted it's as if it jumped back to the tutorial and forced me to bring McCoy onto my crew. It then tried to continue the tutorial, but would freeze constantly (without actually becoming unresponsive to the computer) so I couldn't advance or click any buttons. I would force quit and restart and it would advance me to the next tutorial step until it became unresponsive again. Eventually, that stopped working, and I had no way to move forward or play anything.

I tried on my phone and mac. At that point, I deleted the game from my mac and gave up - didn't think I'd get an alternate ending with the AppleTV.

I'm playing on my iPad and I didn't experience any of the problems you appear to be having. I'm really enjoying it and, as I have Arcade as part of my Apple One subscription I shall carry on playing the game as it's not costing me anything I wouldn't be paying out anyway. Do I think it's worth taking out a subscription to Apple Arcade just to play this game? No, if I'm being honest as much as I'm enjoying the game, it wouldn't be worth the £4.99 subscription fee.

Actually, at first I said that I wouldn’t spend money on the arcade version of apple just for one game, but I wanted to try it so I subscribed to the one month free period to try it out and i also don’t have any glitches or problems.
I play it on my iPhone, not the Mac or iPad. Maybe there are glitches on the Mac version, I don’t know but off course it cannot be anybody’s cup of tea

Thanks to both of you for the informative feedback. Not sure why I had so many glitches. With what you've both experienced, maybe I'll try deleting/wiping everything and try again with my iphone/ipad.
