This one is another quick throw together again with a mix of event, reputation and lock box consoles Photonic officer is pretty pointless but a place holder for when improved officer is added to the traits it needs tweaking a lot and room for big improvements but in its current state its averaging 79-85k in runs as it is. When i started this i thought i had Improved Photonic on it though i don't so it needs adding at some point as the build has no real cool downs at the moment but still offers something to work towards and improve on if you wish to do so.

I'm starting to look into builds more, recently picked up the Legendary Caelian Intel Multi-Mission Explorer [T6] which has a weapon type I hadn't seen before, AUX Dual Heavy Cannons that run off Aux power instead of Weapon power. This seems like a great idea for a science ship build. Is it possible to craft other AUX weapons? I haven't seen any recipes and I have most end-game crafting covered. What do you think about these cannons?

For Aux Cannons in different Energy Types you need the KDF and ROM version of the ships to get Disruptor and Plasma versions.

If you want to have more of the Aux Cannons you need to claim the ship pull the weapon off delete the ship and repeate the process.

The problem is that the weapon is limited to the Vesta, you won't have access to a Commander Tactical and it drains the energy that you need to power up your Science Powers.

All variants of the "Aux Cannon" special weapon have had their equip restrictions expanded to encompass all Multi-Mission Science Vessels, all Science Dreadnoughts, and all Science Spearheads.

Yes sorry you are right they extended it and 90% of the ships that can use it now are extremely expensive.

I was able to equip at least three when I tested it if that is a bug or not I don't know.

The quads are -10 wep and eng power while firing and have no stat bonuses except extra damge but are "only equip one". Yet the Aux cannons are just -12 aux power, has stat bonuses and according to the wiki, aren't a "only equip one"

Weird to me that you can equip more Aux cannons though, because I honestly thought before the T6 Vesta/Legendary, that they were also a "only equip one"

Just found this build, as a SCI I have this as part of the Legendary Pack along with the Terran Trailblazer Voyager ship so wonder if this would translate over to that vessel ?

Short answer yes but it is just a starter build and old now still a starting point to build from.
