What it says on the tin, really.

All four series bibles are available to download in PDF form as officially released by CBS via Gizmodo.

Link to nerdist here, they have all four linked in their article.

Of course I grabbed them all for reading pleasure and data preservation.

(not sure if this is the right place, so mods, feel free to move it)

Some of what's in there is seriously cringe by modern standards, but it's still fun to look at what they intended at first and what the shows ended up being. I mean look at the Ferengi of early TNG and what they were by the end of DS9...

    edit:
I'm surprise they wrote from the start that B'Elanna would be romantically involved with Tom. It looked like it was later development in the series with the whole Tom and Kes dynamic and later just a pairing off when Kes left the show.
I recall that back in the day, a lot of fan shipping paired Harry of with B'Elanna or Kes, too. As for the Tom/Kess dynamic, the vibe I'm getting from that today is that it was either set up as a replacement for if they had to write Neelix out of the show or couldn't make what was in the bible work. Hell, could be that the intent was to have Tom go for Kes and shoot B'Elanna down.

    EDIT EDIT:

That said, I vastly prefer the way it was handled on screen. Still not perfect, mind, but vastly better and vastly more enjoyable. They took the opportunity to really develop B'Elanna beyond RAAAR ME KLINGON and explored an aspect that's rarely mentioned in other shows or franchises. In the best tradition of Trek.

Yeah, the Ferengi went from a bad Klingon knock-off to a bad parable for gilded age capitalism to a fleshed out race that I always enjoyed learning more about. I have my issues with some of the writing on DS9 especially in the last two seasons, but that was always fun.

And yeah, B'Elanna went from cringetastic to one of my favourites on the show.
