But there's that threat with Msrp anyway, unless you choose to abandon all effort for any coordination and let everyone go off on their own tangeant, missions or story arc.

That might work for a start but eventually all cohesion would be lost.

So how'd Josh plan on handling that facet of msrp?

Here's my thought for this:

Mission packs themselves can have one single story thought, or the packs can link up into one big arching story that will ultimately bleed into Ares RP. They can be blips or MASSIVE BOOMING BOOMS THAT EVEN Q CAN FEEL.

Yeah this is what I had in mind. Over the course of several missions, the grander Area plotarc is affected. Failure to complete a TF Phoenix mission will affect the whole thing at some point.

Sounds like a great idea! I have been down for ship roleplays for a while, started one back at the beginning with the USS Charleston.

I might be up for joining in on something like this! My main concern would be the ship variety, with people being able to choose their own ships, I fear that a taskforce of 8 Sovereigns (as an example) wouldn't be realistic or practical. Would there be some kind of screening process to the TF? So people submit ship class and name prior to doing any more work, and then have it approved/denied upon the current makeup of the TF?

Now 2 Sovereigns, a Galaxy, Akira, a couple of Excelsior's would make a bit more sense, it's just hard to strike a balance with that sort of thing! But even me saying that, I feel 2 Sovereigns would be a bit much for 1 TF

Yes, I'd want to see some variety as well. My main ship would be either an Ambassador or Nova, so that will hopefully bring something a tad different.

Our goal was to place Phoenix in the Ares time so we could crossover once in a while, so 2381/2382. I'm a huge fan of the new Picard era, but yeah keeping it the same (and Picard has too many unknowns yet)

Haha, yeah I was kinda wanting to reprise my USS Sovereign, but going to vary it up a little bit! I am thinking an Akira-class, USS Thunderchild! The Charleston is still trapped in Andromeda...

Well, i'm obviously going Akira. Her large inventory space for auxiliary vessels is perfect for a role as carrier. I am going to chuck 24 single seat fighters in the main shuttle bay and find her long range power projection missions. Give Starfleet the option to reach out and touch!

The Norway class is a bit too small, and lacks a purpose to be honest.

So I'm going to call her the USS Michiel de Ruyter!
