The seasonal favorite from years past is returning once more to Star Trek Online! Q proudly invites personnel of all ranks, allegiances, species, cosmological variances, and molecular stabilities (or lack thereof) to ring in the holiday season, and visit his Winter Wonderland for fun, frivolity, and prizes!

Participate in your choice of Winter Wonderland Activities to work your way toward obtaining the fabulous new Tier 6 Starship! This ship will be revealed on tomorrow night's Ten Forward Weekly, and complete details of this ship’s capabilities will be contained in a separate Dev Blog.

Like last year, this year’s festivities will be integrated into our recently released Event Interface, as part of your Mission Journal. This means that, just like last year: Daily Progress toward earning your new starship can be obtained by participating in any of the following activities:

• Fastest Game on Ice
• Klingon Ice Fishing
• Tides of Ice
• The Fast and the Flurrious
• Cones of Conduct
• The Kramp’Ihri

The first completion of any of the above activities will fulfill your Daily Requirement for your entire account, allowing you to pick and choose how you earn your way to a new starship. Play whichever activity you enjoy most, or change it up each day for greater variety!

The Event System will also offer instant and immediate access to visit the Winter Wonderland from most non-combat maps in the game, simply by pressing the “Transwarp” button on the Event interface. You don’t even have to talk to Q to get there – he’s allowed us to bring the Wonderland to YOU.

Each of the above activities, as well as others you can participate in during the Winter Event, will still reward you with the various Holiday Ornaments which can be used in different denominations to purchase yourself a variety of rewards from years past, as well as a number of new additions that will arrive with the re-launch of the Event this year!

Glacial Nanopulse Bat'leth

Put a chill in your enemies' bones with this year's Nanopulse Bat'leth, a glacial variant whose color calls to mind the coldest ice.

New Breen Ground Set

This year, your collection of winter ornaments could be used to unlock a brand new ground set, based on the chilly ways of the mysterious Breen. There are four items in this set: Armor, a Personal Shield, a Kit Frame, and a Pistol. Equipping all four will unlock a new set bonus. The set references and uses a new ability, Polar Blast, an AOE of cold damage centered on an enemy.

Breen Cryoshaper Armor [HP] [Mob] [ResEn] ∞

• Active: Ablative Ice Shield
• Generates a shield of ablative ice, providing temporary Health that grows each time the wielder deals Cold damage, with the extra Health based on Cold damage dealt.

Breen Cryoshaper Personal Shield [Reg]x3 ∞

• When the shield is broken, deal a Polar Blast to whatever broke it.

• Using a Cold Kit Module deals a Polar Blast to the primary target.

Breen Cryoshaper Thermal Depletion Pistol [CrtH] [Dmg]x2 ∞

• Deals Cold Damage
• Secondary fire: a Polar Blast to three targets in a cone

• +50% Temp Health gained from Cryobarrier
• Polar Blasts slow Foes and gain a 10% chance per Foe hit to spawn another Polar Blast

Vanity Pets

After freezing your enemy with the cold, warm up again with two new vanity pets! The Warnog Rescue Targ doesn't bring that tiny cask that earth canines use for rescue, it carries enough Warnog for a Klingon army! And the Barrel of Warnog is...exactly what it sounds like. It's a barrel. Full of Warnog.

Lower Decks Sweaters

Originally developed for those times that The Cerritos loses life support - again - these sweaters celebrate some of our favorite characters and moments from the first two seasons of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Bundle up with sweaters based on Chu Chu, The Dog, Badgey, and everyone's favorite evil Jeffrey Combs computer, Agimus.

Winter ship the Eisenberg Class

It’s almost that time of year once more, where equal measure of festivity and frivolity join forces with shenanigans and mischief, for the 2021 edition of Q’s Winter Wonderland! This year’s Grand Prize for participating in the Event will be none other than one of the many unique and innovative Federation starship designs pulled across time from the distant future. But this time only, this Federation vessel is being made accessible to all captains, regardless of their original allegiance.

We’re thrilled to be offering all captains the opportunity to earn their way to flying their very own Eisenberg Star Cruiser [T6]. Named in honor of one the many inimitable actors to have graced the Star Trek franchise, as well as a friend and ally to Star Trek Online, this starship can be yours simply for participating in the seasonal celebration we have created for your enjoyment.

Earning the ship will require completing various activities available on the Q’s Winter Wonderland map each day, and gathering enough Daily Progress to fulfill the Winter Event’s overall quota. Players may participate in any of the available Winter activities to earn their Daily Progress once per day, per account.

Once you have earned sufficient Daily Progress, you may claim this Starship for your entire account. Just open the Event Reclaim Store to claim an Eisenberg Star Cruiser [T6] for each captain on your account.



Eisenberg Star Cruiser (T6)

The versatility and ingenuity of Federation starships are dangerous to under-estimate, and that is no exception with the efforts that have gone into the development of the Eisenberg-class Star Cruiser. With a focus on exploration and scientific discovery, this vessel's design was intended to usher the Federation into a new age of discovery, before the fleet ended up decimated by a catastrophe that left Starfleet scrambling for resources. Console – Universal – Great Material Continuum

True to the Ferengi doctrine of utilizing one's own self-interest to the benefit of many, this console has been engineered to remove materials and components from those who may currently have a surplus (in this case, enemies) and redistribute it to where it is needed most (in this case, allies). Utilizing a massive network of tight-beam transporter beams to strip away enemy hull at a molecular scale, this technology will buffer that matter briefly, then convert the stripped matter into energy that is projected into a protective barrier that can be applied to allied starships even at a great distance.

This console also provides a passive bonus to Starship Drain Expertise and All Subsystem Energy Levels.

This Console Mod can be equipped on any starship, and can be fit in any console slot. You may only equip one of these mods on any single ship.
Starship Trait – Ingenious Tenacity

Activating any Specialist Bridge Officer Ability (Intel, Command, Pilot, Temp Op, Miracle Worker) will briefly grant your starship the ability to redirect incoming damage from Energy Weapons into Shield Restoration. A portion of all Energy Damage received during this time (pre-Resistances) will be translated into Shield Restoration for the shield facing which the enemy weapon impacted.

Triggering this effect multiple times before it expires will refresh the effect's duration, rather than increasing the amount of shield restoration.

Activating Specialist Bridge Officer Abilities causes Incoming Energy Damage to restore 40%(*) of that damage to the shield facing it hit for 6 sec
(*) This value increases with Starship Shield Emitters' skill.

I have all the weapons. I don't use them all though. The dual Nerf guns are the best. Team them with the Snowblower and kill snowmen galore!

Might have to get my KDF main a warnog targ, but not sure I have to have anything else so far. Not a fan of the Disco style Bat'leths and not sure I really need another ground gear set unless the full stats end up being amazing.

I've missed majority of this event due to traveling and not having time to open the laptop where I have STO... and it seems to be a lobi buy out! I'll have to dig out the lobi from the old accounts.

Is this ship or console any good though?

I missed that it is a Lobi buyout. I thought it was a Zen buyout. Oops. If I hadn't been mistaken about the Lobi/Zen buyout, would I have dropped 300 Lobi for the Eisenberg? Nah. I certainly would have paid 300 Zen to buy it out (which is what I thought I was doing).

I personally don’t think the ship is worth buying out.

It’s just another engineering heavy cruiser which has the gimmick of being 32c compared to the rest of those being lockbox ships, and it’s been done in honour of a trek actor.
Aside from those two points I just don’t think it really shines as a ship so unless you absolutely must have it for collecting purposes I’d just miss out.
The trait has some uses in a few circumstances I think but there’s a lot better ones you likely already have. The console is pretty run of the mill heal/AoE stuff that can be had from a hundred other sources.

I finished the grind for it yesterday, and it is a pretty "meh" ship all around. It is a nimble cruiser, with a bit more base maneuverability than even the T6 Risian Luxury Cruiser, but otherwise as the review video Taku shared says, the seating, trait and console aren't great. It is either something to run for space barbie if you are in to the look of it or if you are a new player and just really don't have anything better.

I agree and do not think it's worth the Lobi buyout that said if they make shields a thing then the trait could be worthwhile for shield tanking over hull tanking if they put anything more in that enables or boosts shields to make them more viable in the long terms.
