Since I have the T5 Andorian ship bundle, and I really, really love those wing cannons, I was thinking of upgrading to a T6 for a little more survivability, Since I can't afford the T6 bundle, I'm considering getting just one of the T6s. Especially since I can just use a T6 coupon for it.
The problem is that I can't decide which one is "best". I'm definitely sticking with a full cannon build, and although it's not a battle cloak, I'm thinking about throwing the cloak console from the Defiant on it, but that part isn't important really.
Since they all have 5 Tac console slots, and other than the Fleet locator/exploiters, I mostly run Universal consoles so the console slots aren't really that important. I'm mostly torn between the Science ship for the Improved Gravity Well trait, and the Engineering ship for the Wing Torpedo Platform Console. There's nothing about the Tac ship that really appeals to me.
Has anyone already given these ships a try and have an opinion, and along with the opinion, any chance youi could share your ship config. I'd like to see everything (yeh, show it all baby). Even advice on Boff seating would be appreciated. Although I will likely stay (mostly) with the pretty Andorian phasers, I wouldn't mind seeing others cannon set ups for these wonderful ships.

The tac one has a decent little dps trait...the science one has a decent trait for a science build

They're basically the same as any other Pilot ships. You'll find that whatever works on your FED/ROM/KDF Pilot ships will work well on the Alien ships. I have all 3 Andorians, and when I run them, I run the SCI for the Grabbity Well. Only reason. Like you said, everything else is pretty equal.

It will also be my first ever pilot ship so that's gonna be a blast to learn...I hope.
The more I think about it, 'm thinking go for the Sci ship. Grav well is a go to on almost all my toons no matter what they are flying so that trait will serve all my toons, on pretty much any ship. The Wing Torp console, being limited to use on only a few ships, of which I'll likely only ever have the one, isn't anywhere near as useful
