Dropping this a week after dropping a new lockbox seems to be...ill advised. It takes a month or more to get zen from the exchange right now so it isn't going to help anyone unless they put in bids weeks ago. People willing to open wallets probably burned disposable income and/or stashed zen by now chasing the lockbox goodies. That just leaves people who have been specifically holding out for legendary packs and nothing else to try to pry money from at this point.

I have to wonder if either the lockbox sales are underperforming this time around (which wouldn't be surprising given the community sentiments around recent nerfs). Given that this is time number 5 for the 10th bundle specifically to resurface this year alone (and it would be shocking if Cryptic didn't try again during the holiday season), the FOMO effect on legendary bundle sales probably won't be all that strong either I'd speculate.

If I'm counting up the STO wiki site log properly, the 10th bundles have only been on sale on PC 12 times total since it was created, so we've seen it come back in 2022 almost as many times as the first 2 years combined. I'm guessing the players most likely to bite at this the way it is marketed currently have already bought it, so maybe we'll see them try something new with the way they'll sell this stuff in the future, or at the very least make it permanently available. It would be nice if they considered unbundling, but I doubt we're there yet.

Going to agree with you on this one...I could never afford even one bundle. And even if a few hundred pounds did end up in my bank I still would not give them that price tag they so desperately want. Especially now with the current climate, not many people have spare cash laying around for "would be nice" purchases.

I wonder how many days of electricity I could get in the house for the gambling price of a loot box or over £100 for a bundle of ships that are far overpriced, to begin with. Then again am just tight with my wallet I suppose. But if say the legendary Defiant or Voyager went on sale for I don't know £50/60 I might just open my wallet and pay and play.
