CL4 - Tier 3 (Lieutenant Commander)

The Federation News Service is the community's in-house news department and a trusted member resource. Along with creating articles about general Sci-Fi, Star Trek or technology, the job of an Editor is to work alongside the department's Lead Staff to ensure that the content we publish is kept to the high standard which has come to be expected of the FNS.

An Editor would be responsible for checking grammar, fact checking and ensuring the article looks good before publishing.

JOB DUTIES

• Edit, proof-read, format, and publish articles alongside your Editing Team
• Ensure articles are kept to the highest standard and meet guidelines set by the CO & XO of FNS.
• Produce or source graphics for articles if needed. The candidate must be able to position them correctly in the article.
• Work with the FNS Team to improve FNS into the future.
• Produce at least 1 article per month.
• The successful candidate of this role would report to Solace

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Exams: None
• Basic knowledge, or a willingness to learn how to operate a news system.
• Basic knowledge and ownership of graphic processing software would be helpful but not necessary.
• Is it a CL5 position? No
  PLEASE NOTE: If it is a CL5 position, the successful candidate will have to sign the Command Position Agreement before entering the role.
