Texas Miracle Worker Escort [T6]

Born from a dream of unmanned starships keeping Starfleet's personnel from harm's way, the Texas had a troubled development that culminated in severe loss of life. Console – Universal – V.A.Q. Warhead Multiple Launch System

The Texas is equipped with a Console - Universal - V.A.Q. Warhead Multiple Launch System. Fires a Volumetric Attack: Quantum cluster munition that splits into six projectiles after flying approximately 3 km with default Torpedo speed. The separated projectiles seek the primary target, but if the desired target is too far away from the split some may hit other targets or miss instead. If the system impacts before split, it detonates with tremendous force, but overall damage is lower due to loss in efficiency. The V.A.Q. Warhead system is named in honor of the vaquero culture, which gave rise to the classical image of the cowboy. The actual vaqueros themselves fought for freedom from Mexico alongside American colonists. They were largely betrayed and annihilated by those colonists, who went on to revere and mythologize their lifestyle as the quintessential cowboy.

This multiple-launch V.A.Q. system is capable of firing and independently guiding up to 12 separate projectiles. All stored charges are fired when the system is activated.

V.A.Q. Warheads are modified by abilities that impact Torpedo flight characteristics, but not abilities which impact Torpedo Damage.

This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Hull Capacity and a passive bonus to Kinetic and Beam Damage. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot. You may only equip one of these consoles on any single ship.

Stores up to 12 charges, uses all when firing. Each charge launches a V.A.Q. Warhead at a random Foe within target 135 deg arc, which splits into 6 projectiles after 1.25 sec (default 3 km).

If no hit, faraway Foes: Z Kinetic Damage x2 (up to 3 targets)


Starship Trait – Algorithmic Energy Weapon Lensing

By fusing local gravimetric sensors with the weapon assembly, some of the work of lensing directed energy weapons can be offloaded onto warps in local spacetime, working with the topography instead of through it. This improves performance generally and especially in the medium range regime.

Y% (larger) Additional Bonus to Energy Weapon Damage to Foes between 2 and 7 km



Experimental Weapon - V.A.Q. Warhead Individual Launch System

This starship also comes with an Experimental Weapon slot, equipped with a V.A.Q. Warhead Individual Launch System. The individual V.A.Q. Warhead works as described above, and while this system cannot store shots to unleash in a volley, it cycles significantly faster than the multiple launch system.

Lot of purple space magic and the ship is okay I guess. Still I won't command a possible crazy assassin ship and it's another ship for the glorious lockboxes, so too rich for me.

The ship itself is meh but like always we can only say something about the console or trait when we get our hands on them.

I never watched the show but that is one ugly starship.
It has great seating for my usual build, but the looks and price tag make that an automatic nope.

Not loving this one, I know they've got a bit more wrangling when it comes to the Lower Decks stuff but leaving aside the seats and abilities, it just looks too cartoonish for my tastes. It kind of sticks out compared to everything else, including the California class.

The blog post has been updated to correct the hull and shield modifiers (lower than initially stated) and state that as a miracle worker that it does have the universal console slot.

As the ship is depicted in Lower Decks as a giant drone, it doesn't have windows or anything. This gives the ship a pretty bland look, so not surprising about the lack of excitement from those that don't follow that series. I do watch it, but can't say I'm very interested in this one either. The storyline was more exciting than the ship itself.

Having watched Lower Decks, I thought perhaps they'd introduce this ship. And although I'm not really interested in the Texas class as a ship I want to fly I did wonder due to the nature of the ship (being AI driven) that it would also be created as a frigate pet for hangar ships... I might buy that.

As a fan of the color purple the console and x weapon are kinda cool, but yeah the price tag kinda kills that for me..maybe in a couple of years as the free yearly premium ship lol
