Geez, the “cut off your hand and turn it into a floaty-melty face communicator system” seems to be a bit excessive lol.

Whatever happened to good old subspace comms. 😂

Awesome visuals in this episode though; the jellyfish were very cool and the space wave surfing was a brilliant as it sounds. However it’s not the first time a starship has surfed an energy wave; even the Enterprise D tried a warp method that was similar in one episode.

Steal the changeling’s bucket is now a legitimate anti-Dominion tactic LOLZ!

Poor Picard must have had to eat good meal cold after all those stories. 😂

Let's not forget the ol' gal herself, the Excelsior, after the explosion of Praxis. Although that may not be surfing rather 'being inadvertently blown along by gigantic energy explosion'. I can't remember if they steered into it or not as it's been a hundred years since I last saw the movie.

    My memory sucks.

They did, when the helmsman said it wasn't answering Sulu told him to use the thrusters and turn into the wave so they went against it rather than with it.

Back on Picard, I think it's becoming rapidly clear that Stashwick is doing for Shaw what Anson Mount did for Pike and become a new fan favourite. A small part of me is hoping that someone at Paramount/CBS realises this and considers that a Titan based series alongside SNW may be just what the doctor ordered instead of the other live action stuff they have planned.

Really liked Riker using the Shrike's tactic against them from an earlier episode and flinging the asteroid into it.

I began to like Shaw after the encounter with Picard and Seven about him being a dipshit from Chicago...

Stashwick was amazing this week. That holodeck scene was done perfectly and really help to ad to stuff like his insistence on Commander Hansen and other anti-borg sentiments. The Picard and Jack Crusher scene was good and the payoff to that question at the end of the episode was done excellently and showing how Picard even when he disliked Starfleet could still be really nice and accommodating to the junior officers. That flinging the rock was excellent you could just feel how happy Riker was to get back at the Shrike. The Changeling reveal was nice if slightly spoilt by last weeks subtitles O accidentally saw. Interesting communication method though. Can't wait to see if we get anyone new next week like Gerodi or Lore. Also I don't remember any Raffi or Worf this episode so I'm interested to see what they have been up to.

Great episode, it's the latest I managed to watch up till now. Riker is just a badass!

I dislike Shaw marginally less than I did before, he certainly has his reasons. Then again, so had Sisko who actually overcame his hatred. Shaw didn't. I actually wonder how he managed to get a command, does Starfleet not do any psych evals about that sort of stuff? Still, he pulled through and - as mentioned - they need an old-school Engineer to do the job this time around.
