Hi,
Just found you guys having returned to STO for the first time in... I don't know how long. So much has changed!
I am an old (45 years this year) sci-fi fan - big fan of all things Star Trek (except Discovery...I'm sorry, it didn't work for me). But also a fan of Babylon 5, Star Wars and old school Dr Who (up to 7th).
I have a soft spot for trek villains, or races which are a wee bit more complex than humans, Cardassians and Romulans are my personal favourite - as you never really know where they stand or, therefore, where the story is going to go.
Just to know a bit more about my sci-fi passions - here's a little list:
Favourite ST race: Cardassians
Favourite ST Series: Voyager
Favourite ST episode: ST TNG Face of the Enemy (Troi as a Tal Shiar agent? Yes please)
Favourite ST film: First Contact (oh how I wish Nemesis had been better)
Favourite Version of the Enterprise: NCC1701-D (gotta love them Galaxy class curves)
Favourite ST character: Elim Garek (mainly due to the amazing way Robinson acted him and the impact he had on storylines)
Favourite ST Captain: Admiral Janeway - (loved her!)

Thanks for the welcome, currently rewatching DS9 on Netflix - up to series 3 at the moment. I loved DS9, my only negatives were how creepy they made Julian feel, especially in the early episodes... no woman was safe from his leering eyes. I'm glad they fleshed him out a bit more in later episodes, (especially good in the episode "life support").

My all time favorite is still Voyager but not such a fan for star trek villains but thats different with everybody off course.
