I only spoke to Taku a few times but he seemed like a lovely person and very knowledgable about STO. He pointed me in the right direction when I was looking for help.

Truly we shall feel his loss.

I didn't know him very well, but the times we talked, he was always a helpful, nice person and someone who was always good to be around, as far as that goes on the Internet. I'm deeply saddened. We have lost one of our own. Rest in Peace and my the Great Bird of the Galaxy be with you.

What a loss. When I heard and read about Taku's death I was in a deep shock for a while. Some weeks ago my wife and I got some bad news ourselves so... it really makes you think and realise in the end how terrible life can be sometimes.

My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.

For ♥♥♥♥'s sake man, I really didn't want to see this post when I logged in. I grew concerned when I went looking for his usual posts in chat and didn't see any, and while I guess we knew it was coming that doesn't make it any easier surprisingly. The world lost another good one ffs.

I've come back to this thread a few times each day since it was posted, trying to convey my own condolences but the words evade me.

Taku has been a cornerstone of this community for as long as I can remember, his passing is a tremendous loss to us all. He was headstrong and fierce in the face of his illness, continuing to stay active and keep up a brave face for us all until the end.

It seems like only yesterday he was ecstatic after receiving his new laptop and being able to continue participating in STO with us. In the few direct interactions I had with Taku, I cant remember an instance where he wasn't positive and willing to go out of his way for anyone here. To me, he exemplified the best of what this community is here for.

I regret never having the opportunity to have any conversation with Taku. I will always remember his as the treasure of the UFP and mourn his loss with the rest of Starfleet. May you Rest in Peace Taku!
