Heyallo: And we choose to strongly accept this approval
Chris Wilkinson: Your strong approval is strongly appreciated by the team.
Bedders: Thanks!
Nothing to complain about
Heyallo: I guess Bedders finally got the smell out of that holodeck biofilter =D
Chris Wilkinson: Maybe this is someone who figured out how to get cake from the holodeck?
Bedders: Thanks! Oh, and the smell was due to experiments to get cake out of the holodeck.
Heyallo: Who left the holodeck running with the Austin Powers program?!
Chris Wilkinson: Attachment 19272

Heyallo: Welcome! We hope you enjoy your stay
Chris Wilkinson: Welcome to the community, please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything you want to know.
Heyallo: We're not the press, and this in itself is kind of a comment lol
Chris Wilkinson: I can't tell if this is a good thing or not?
There are games other than Star Trek games? Who woulda known?
Heyallo: *throws 500kg bomb stratagem and runs for the hills*
Chris Wilkinson: Well there are a few that the team here are keen on, although world conquest is always a fun game right?
Bedders: There's a Star Trek game?
I see plenty of events which is nice to see. Smile
Heyallo: My fellow Holodeck staff work hard to bring you events in games that people enjoy playing, they are the best!
Chris Wilkinson: We do work hard to try and bring regular events, please let us know if there's anything that you want to play.

The events that are run are in my experience all done very well.
Bedders: Thanks! We try to ensure events are fun
Sadly we are missing american volunteers for US friendly events (I'm european, also volunteer already)
Heyallo: Please feel free to drop me a PM, I'm Australian, but I can run events that are US timezone friendly (I'm Holodeck, not STO Staff)
Chris Wilkinson: As mentioned by Heyallo we can look at running events for the US timezone, it is a bit harder with a large number of the team being EU based for Holodeck.
If you are interested in joining the team to run events for folk in the US please don't hesitate to reach out. Members can also run events through the system as well.
STO and Holo run regular events run by good people
Heyallo: Yep, they're all amazing people!
Chris Wilkinson: I'm glad to hear that you are finding the events well hosted.

Haven attended, aside from a UFPAC
These folks diligently try to meet the needs of the membership. The question is... does the membership meet the needs of those coordinating the events?
Heyallo: I can't speak for anyone else, but as long as people turned up, events will keep happening.
Chris Wilkinson: I can only agree with what Heyallo has said there. I have to say when people come to the events which I host, it's positive and makes me want to continue.
I see plenty of events which is nice to see. Better advertising of events on places like Discord might get more participants Smile
Heyallo: The event system on our site has always been the primary source of advertisment/organization of our events, it is up to the Gaming Specialist (or the STO Staff equivalent) if they wish to add it to our discord event system, though not everyone uses discord or is comfortable with it, we can try to post more on both.
