    I just realized I'm finally gonna have a 25th Century skin for my Mirror Engel, Huzzah!!!

    Side Note, yeah I would love to see the Norway too.

    No mention of the Halloween event they wanted to do, guess workload and time constraints made it a no go.
    They said in a tram last month that it wasn’t going to happen this year.

    Rightly so tbh.
    It was an odd thing to say as the clear thing people thought of was something visually changing or perhaps a big change to how things look in terms of how the game play (new engine, UI updates, changes to factions etc.).
    Simple story updates don't really scream "change the face of the game" to me at least.
    I mean. What was the whole "Discovery Expansion"? 6 episodes, 4 TFOs, 1 Reputation grind. I was enjoying Discovery on STO, I was hoping for way more episodes and I feel they've abruptly declared it "That's all folks! Back to 2410 we are!".

    Yes we got tonnes of ships and that's great, but content is king at the end of the day, somewhere to fly those ships into rather than into the same old stuff. So far I see the roadmap offers nothing more in terms of new content, other than a patrol revamp in September. I seriously feel in terms of content STO is severely slacking.

    I was also hyped by the EP saying changing the face of the game comment, but this roadmap is not showing anymore hope for content other than some events and we get some more ships.

    At this rate I'm beginning to feel the ship development team is the only team functioning in that studio.

    I do have to agree a fair bit with you.

    AoD was pretty nice in terms of the episodes, they were well done (having not even played the last one yet!) and the ships do look amazing whether you like DSC designs or not.
    But like you said there is nothing to use all these ships for. I've been saying the same thing for months/years now. There is little point in buying any new gear/ships/weapons if all you have to play with them in are the same broken adventure zones and the bazillionth run of ISA. The game suffers from a real lack of actual end game content that is meaningful, repeatable and enticing to players.

    Personally i've given up on the personal endeavors at around Lvl 40-ish and don't even have my daily dilithium refine maxed on any toons. And I don't even bother upgrading any gear to max either. There's no reason to; i can play anything equally well at my current state without grinding and spending resources.

    I haven't run my current toon through the Episodes. I skipped them all and I play them as I need them for equipment or Endeavors (I still do them every morning - thanks for the list, Sul! ) or Accolades. Disco for me was a Rep. maxed it, got the FSM, got the tailor unlock, got the vanity shield (awful shield, by the way), got the t-shirt.

    Now the grind is Risa. But only for the last vanity shield. I have everything else that I want.

    I do patrol quite a bit, so if they change it up a little, that's okay. If they make it easier to find patrols, NOT nerf Argala, maybe add patrols to the daily Endeavors(?), it's a good thing.

    They might want to consider scaling all ships to their max level... Bought a T5? Fine, it will scale to T5. Bought a T4? Same thing, scales to T4. EZPZ.

    Other than that, it's grind until you get the current shiny object and wait for the next shiny object grind.

    Licencing issues. The STO licence doesn't cover the use of assets from Beyond, Cryptic had to get the first 2 movies separately.

    I'd rather like the Beyond Starfleet uniforms myself, though the survival gear outfit that Kirk and Chekov wore are highly requested items.

    There are some ships from the Kelvin Timeline Comics I wouldn't mind seeing in game.

    Yeah......I feel this a lot, every time I feel excited and get really interested in the game this always comes to mind and dashes my interest. Power creep makes PvE trivial and pretty much killed PvP. Running the new STFs a few dozen times gets boring and even if you do random the new ones pop up often.

    Things probably aren't going to change....so in the end it just feels all rather meh.

    Even in a game like SWG, which had no end game I didn't feel so restricted because it had healthy PvP...you just can't get that in STO...and if you want to stand a chance you need to blow billions on gear, traits, and fly a boring cookie cutter build.

    I completely agree with you right now the game is in a very bad condition, we lost the foundry as a constant pool of content, Cryptic has given us 4 Episodes and 3 Operations this year and one of them was a reskin of an existing one.

    The game is plagues by lag, that is getting worse and people have lost fun playing the game when it is in slowmotion and rubberbanding mode.

    I know people will complain about it but we actually have numbers from Steamcharts and compared from last year we are down 50% of the players, If we look at June 2018 we had 4,807 players June 2019 only 1,966 on that platform.

    If Cryptic does not come up with something awesome or at least fix the lag I personally don't see a too bright future for the game.

    Sure those numbers are an indication of players who play STO through the steam client but there has to be many, myself included, who don't use the steam client to play STO.

    Sure those numbers are an indication of players who play STO through the steam client but there has to be many, myself included, who don't use the steam client to play STO.
    Actually, the number of players that play via steam anymore is very minor.

    None of the players I’m regularly on with use steam.

    Yeah I admit I hardly use steam myself, I prefer arc since its just click and your in while steam I have to constantly log in using my 30+ long password., I guess I just assumed a good portion of the community uses steam.

    We don't really have numbers on arc to go by and probably never will....but the fact is the game is going on a downward spiral it seems.

    Power creep is rampant, the lag is getting worse and worse, and RTFOs haven't really done a whole lot to fix empty queues. STO isn't going to last forever if this just stays business as usual.

    I can't speak about the lag because I don't know how they could fix it, But the TFOs are few and far between and there isn't any real endgame...
    Power creep they obviously don't care about fixing because they like the money it brings in, the last time they tried to fix it not only did they fold like a steel chair, they ironically ended up making the power creep even worse in the process.
