Hailing all UFP members!
Our Star Trek Trivia Night event is returning! Covering a wide spread of topics from technology, to planets, all things Trek will be asked throughout the evening. So make sure you start studying now, as when the event starts the questions will get harder! We are wanting to make more community focused events, to allow us all to come together and share our love for Star Trek in a friendly competitive, although they mostly never come together, event.
The night will focus on 4 key categories: Science and Technology; Ships; Locations; and Crew Members. Each section will have 10 unique questions, from all areas of Star Trek, including video games and the Kelvin Timeline. To end the round there will be two bonus questions where the teams will compete for double points - the category for these bonus questions will be announced on the night so you will have to think on your feet!
All attendees to the event will be split into two key teams (dependent on the number of attendees this may be increased!): Team Kirk (Green) and Team Picard (Red). These teams will have an appointed team leader, ONLY they can give your teams official answer. They will also be responsible for putting an "x" into the Teamspeak chat, whichever team puts the x into chat first (within the 30 second timer) will get to answer the question - should they be wrong, the other team will have a chance to answer. As team work is key, and only one member can give their official answer, using the whisper list in TeamSpeak is key - although you don't need a mic to attend, it is recommended!
This event will take place on Sunday 3rd September at 19:30 UFP. Please arrive promptly so we can have 30 minutes for the usual chat and setup time. The teams will be assembled and questions will start at 20:00. If you arrive after 19:40, you will be able to participate but you will have no help setting up your whisper list as once the questions start, they must continue.
PS: We do ask, for the enjoyment of all those there that you DO NOT use Google. If any of your team thinks that you are, I will urge them to come forward and let me know. All the rules will be repeated at the event.
See you there!
