The reviews are in they are looking beyond expectations

"It's a fact, sure as day follows night, sure as eggs is eggs, sure as every odd-numbered Star Trek movie is..." too rude to say on our website. That quote was from Tim Bisley, the fictional character played by none other than Simon Pegg in the cult British television sitcom Spaced which Pegg also co-wrote with Jessica Stevenson, and directed by Edgar Wright.
It's not a bad quote and, unfortunately it has been true on a number of occasions. The Motion Picture was generally considered quite dull, The Search for Spock a bit anti-climatic given that the search consisted of going back to where they left him, The Final Frontier had some cool ideas but just didn't get the care it should have had, Generations wasn't the film many fans wanted and Insurrection was a bit weak across the board, oh and then there is the confusingly named Star Trek, the first re-boot movie which whilst entertaining was seen as too much of a departure from classic Star Trek for many fans.
Star Trek Beyond is not only the 3rd film of the re-boot movie series but also lucky number 13 overall. Not looking good then.
It seems though that Pegg has broken his own rule with Star Trek Beyond, that is if the early reviews are to be believed, as of right now Star Trek Beyond is sitting on a massive 89% on Rotton Tomatoes' TOMATOMETER, a score far higher than anything currently at the Box Office!
Obviously some reviews out there contain spoilers so if you don't want to know more about the film until you've actually seen it you can safely take a look at some of the review quotes below guaranteed to contain no spoilers! What do you think about the reviews Star Trek Beyond has been getting? Do you think it is genuinely going to be good or has the bar been lowered by previous entries in the series? What do you think about the odd numbered Star Trek movies?
I personally am really excited about the film and will be seeing it on July 22nd at my local cinema, and these comments / reviews hopefully show a good start and I am expecting them to be true!
I've particularly been looking for reviewers who had positive/middling opinions on 2009 and negative on Into Darkness* and seen generally positive opinions.
*-I always want a reviewer willing to call a movie bad for technical or story reasons, regardless of whether I agree or not, but never one who's just "Booo not the Star Trek I grew up with get off my lawn" because JJ Abrams went back in time and screwed up all his VHS tapes of TOS reruns. Certainly a fair reviewer could like or dislike both on valid grounds, but I don't have time to read their full reviews of both to see if I think they're being fair or not.

I'm definitely hoping I'll enjoy it, going to have an open mind and hope for the best.
I've read a few things about it on Reddit (and watched a short clip) which has strengthened my hope that it will be a good movie.
