Star Trek Beyond Now in Space

The Star Trek: Beyond movie has been sent to the International Space Station!

Star Trek Beyond, one of the summer's blockbuster movies, has recently been 'beamed up' to the International Space Station in order to celebrate not only the 50th Anniversary of the franchise, but also to celebrate World Space Week and the 59th Anniversary of the first orbital launch of Sputnik 1.

Star Trek has always motivated the viewing public to have more interest in space exploration and the folks at NASA have always been fans of the show. This close knit relationship has shown in Items like the first Space Shuttle prototype being named the Enterprise, and the heads of Paramount bringing real astronauts to cameo in Star Trek shows such as Michael Fincke who had a cameo as Lieutenant Fincke on the last episode of 'Enterprise', "These are the Voyages..."

This is cool! I wonder what else they watch? I'm guessing not Apollo 13....
