On the last day of 2017 people from all corners of the globe hoped and wished for the new year to be one of happiness peace and prosperity. Many like myself were eager to experience new things and try to make something of ourselves in the following 12 months. Sadly our favourite Klingon boy Jon Paul Steuer passed away on New Years Day, he was 33.

Mr Steuer had changed his name to Jonny P Jewels after switching careers from Television to music and restaurants. He had joined a band called P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. only a year before, making several great friends. They were the ones who first posted his passing on Facebook.

“It is with heavy hearts and saddened minds that we announce the passing of our dear friend and singer Jonny Jewels, AKA Jon Paul Steuer,” The band stated. “The addition of Jonny to our dysfunctional band family was one of the best choices that we have ever made, and he brought a much-needed sense of fun and lightheartedness to everything we did.”
He was born in Escondido, Calif. Who got into showbiz by playing as Alexander Rozhenko, Worf's son in "Star Trek The Next Generation" (1990). He also acted with the famed James Earl Jones in 1990’s “By Dawn’s Early Light” and with Mary Tyler Moore in 1990’s “Thanksgiving Day.” He played Quentin Kelly on the ABC TV series “Grace Under Fire” from 1993 to 1996. After the cancellation of “Grace Under Fire,” he quit acting due to controversies about the show stemming from his co-star Brett Butler’s behaviour.

May he be ever present in our hearts and minds these next few weeks. And may he be welcome and happy in heaven.
