I remember ending the year watching Star Wars The Last Jedi and wondering what was going to happen next. At 8:29 am just yesterday our question was answered.
This was considered out first trailer teaser, What a great way to start the year!
Originally fans thought that the trailer would be shown at the Superbowl. But the ticketing service 1iota allegedly revealed in their listing for Monday’s edition of US breakfast Good Morning America that the trailer will premiere during the broadcast. But this turned out to not be true.
Still, fans speculate that we will get our first Solo film trailer at the Superbowl, though nothing is confirmed as of yet. The excitement though is still apparent as all fans eagerly await its release.

The moment I saw it I went full fandom for the rest of the day. I, like many others, are a tad bit worried that the movie won't follow the Legends origin story that so perfectly described how Han became the gruff smuggler we know from the films.
Doesn't look half bad, but Rogue One set the bar pretty high in my opinion.
Given how meaningless the death of Solo was in The Force Awakens (Spoiler Alert..lol), I don't really care much about how he spent his youth. Doesn't help knowing Ford wanted them to kill off his character in every movie.
I'll probably see it anyway, but the character has already been ruined for me.
I saw the trailer during the Super Bowl, then come to find out Alden Ehrenreich needed an acting coach. This brought back the haunting acting of Hayden Christiansen for Anakin in my mind.
As an aspiring conflict coach, I fully appreciate how coaching can improve and/or change a person's skill, motivation and processes for a particular goal. BUT, to play the role for this character, they should have picked someone on their A-game walking onto the set. Call me spooked ... but I've set expectations low for now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason they cast him was because he sorta looks like Ford. But you are right, doesn't sound good.
I can see him coming off with a very wooden performance.
In my opinion, Alden acted pretty well in the trailers as Han Solo. The voice was almost spot on and his 'gruffness' was very visible. I am most excited to see him enlist in the Imperial Navy because we haven't really seen that process on screen ever before (Bar those two or three episodes in Rebels). Finally, I am very optimistic about the movie, I just hope they stick to canon.
