Eaglemoss Take on Battlestar Galactica

Eaglemoss start on a range of Battlestar Galactica ship models, four of them have become known.

Eaglemoss have taken on a number of series for models, with some mixed results. Their ships, everyone can agree that they look good, but human figures have been somewhat questionable. In January, they released Discovery Models, and the Star Trek collection has been well received by many. Now they have taken on Battlestar Galactica with models.

In the Herocollector article, it is stated that there will be 12 issues for this collection, covering the 1978 and 2004 series ships. The first of the ships ready to be pre-ordered is the Viper Mk II, with Starbucks name printed on the side of it. The detailing looks exception, as expected, and the team has been working with the VFX team to ensure accuracy.

All of the ships will be 20cm to 28cm in length, with a 16 page magazine covering the ship that has come with it, and interviews with members of the shows creators. Perhaps even some of the actors, which they have done with the Star Trek collection in the past.

The first four ships that we have been informed of are the Viper Mk II, as mentioned above, the Cylon Raider from the 2004 series, which is available on the waitlist on their store. The other two that don't yet appear on their store are the Battlestar Galactica (2004) and the Viper Mk I (1987). So that is 4 out of the 12 ships already known of, there will be many that fans may hope to see, such as the Battlestar Pegasus, that means waiting to find out more!

You can find the ships on the Eaglemoss website here, they are priced at £49.99 / €49.99. Currently only available for preorder in Europe and Australia, New Zealand has a page but no preorder option, and America does not have the option at all yet. In time, they will become available to all, no doubt.

With the new collection coming out soon, are there many here looking forward to it? And what about those of you who have collected the Star Trek ones as well in the past, did you have a good experience?

Between 20cm and 28cm in length, so they are quite small, but highly detailed! I have a number of the Star Trek ones.

This would be perfect for a game of Pax Stellarium. Nice find!

Good lord their prices are getting high. The ST ships are mostly a nice price with a very high level of quality and detail, but recently a lot of their stuff is getting really pricey.

They are double the size of the Star Trek models I believe, with the exception of the special ones they do, like they now have an XL Voyager model, which is 25cm in length.
