It would be impossible for me to care any less about multiplayer in CP2077.
In fact, I hope absolutely no resources were diverted towards that end.
Having played some of The Witcher 3, I enjoyed it, though I didn't think it would really have been a game for me, the story was great, and I got pulled into the world, I do hope that the same will be true for Cyberpunk, just like you, I don't care much for any multiplayer in it, it's all about the story!
They did put a small team onto the idea of multiplayer, but it's not something they are activly looking to develop, just research the posibility. I can see Cyberpunk working as a coop mulitplayer, maybe a small party, because it is based on a tabletop roleplay game, but then you fall into the realm of having to have a custom character, which can subtract from the story.
In fact, I hope absolutely no resources were diverted towards that end.
It's a RPG, not a FPS.
(I'm not against multiplayer, I'll be playing Borderlands 3 with my friends, and currently we play EDF 5 an average of an hour a day. Those aren't the same genre as CP2077 or Witcher 3, though.)
