    I got connected to the server ok following the guide, but I can't switch to any channels other than the transporter room and AFK lobby. When I try to switch to something like Away Team Alpha, I get an "insufficient permissions" error message from the client. Do I need to request permissions to be able to use other channels, or is this some sort of client config error?

    I logged in using my forum username "{UFP}Heezdedjim," but didn't put in any password, as suggested in the guide.

    Its because no-one set your permission access, you should be able to "poke" (Right Click > poke) anyone one with a CL5 or CL6 icon, usually people notice and give you access...

    CL1 = visitor access,
    CL2 Diplomatic/allied clans, etc
    CL3 = members

    etc,etc, so a CL1 can only join [CL1] channels.


    I've made you a key, click "permissions" at the top and select "Use Privilege Key"
    and paste this in

    It will give you CL3 on TS, alternativly, as said above, poke a CL5

    As a note, members will be likely be able to automatically generate a key like the one above to give themsleves CL3 access on TS from the new website.
