Welcome to the NEW UFPlanets.com!
The entire web team, and everyone involved in the efforts to make this a possibility are extremely proud to present the all new ufplanets.com.
It is the culmination of many hundreds of combined hours of effort which we hope everyone will enjoy experiencing and using for years to come. I'd like to thank everyone who gave up much of their free time to make this a reality.
While we will always value the community and friendship that exists here in the UFP above all else, I think this new website clearly demonstrates the breadth of talent and dedication that goes into making the UFP something quite unique and worth preserving.
With 9 years of UFP just over the horizon, this will surely be a fantastic new staging area for all the great things that are to come for the UFP, and its members.
We'll begin work in the near future on further themes as promised, but in the mean time be sure to check out the site's little party trick in the Theme Selection page (see the navigation bar).
I hope you all enjoy the new site, and if you do experience any problems or anomalies, please send a PM to either Neo, Sharpkiller or myself.

I think it was definitely worth our time and effort, I've seen various forums in my time and I know that we've looked for others, but nothing comes to an LCARS/Star Trek theme quite like this. I'd like to personally thank everyone involved in this new website project, it's certainly taken a huge chunk of time over the past two months but as Hathaway put, it seems fitting with our 9th Anniversary just around the corner.

We're Star Trek fans and we deserve a kick ass looking Star Trek website and forums, in a few hours we get that, even though I think our current set up is still ahead of the curve.
If anyone can find a better looking Star Trek forum than the new one I am going to be genuinely surprised and I don't just mean better looking than fan made ones I mean better looking than any Star Trek forum. It really does look that good.
It makes me sad that I am still having to use the current forum and I really like the current forum. The new forum is just that much better.
^ My face will not be set to stun because I still don't think a better looking Star Trek website will be found but lets not get too excited, the new website and forums are awfully shiney and I hope everyone enjoys them but the most special thing we have is our community.
Sure we have a kickass website and forums, a super sweet server, great links to other Star Trek gaming groups and a fleet magazine that gets thousands of views all around the world and ends up on the front page of STO featuring exclusive interviews with some really awesome members of the Star Trek community like Dan Stahl, David Mack and GSIO01 but they aren't the things that makes us special, although they might make us different from many of the other Star Trek gaming groups out there.
We've got a great group of Star Trek fans who socialise and play games together and that is more impressive than any of the other assets we have at our disposal.
The stars of the show are our members and this is a little something for the community from those involved to say thanks and to make your experience as Star Trek fans more enjoyable! :mrgreen:
So about that better looking Star Trek website, let me know if anyone ever finds it.

Great job guys, lots of amazing effort put in. Design is a bit hard on my eyes personally. I'm more of a simple guy. We definitely have the best fleet site overall.

Really, really nicely done guys!!
It is based off of a LCARS which is the OS seen on Starfleet monitors and equipment like the PADD.
The actual use here is a wall monitor but if you have a touchscreen mobile phone then it looks very much like a PADD. If you have a widescreen display you will see there are windows to the side of the panel which is where the warp theme comes in, if you go to Theme Selection (just under the Home button) you can select the warp theme and it looks like you are at warp when you look out of the window.

I agree with Laz, it was a bit of a shock to the system...and I totally called the LCARS look. 
Anyways, after getting aquainted with it, it sure is not very difficult to move through page to page, and site to site. Good job to all that were involved...

Excellent work! I really quite enjoy the new theme, especially the warp factor (which I didn't realize at first because my screen is too narrow. Definitely going for a wide screen one soon).
I agree with the others - my first reaction was shock at the sheer number of colours and the sense that I felt things were cluttered, but as I got used to it, I actually prefer this theme MUCH MORE than the old one.
Just one bug I noticed - the clocks are all 12 hours off....? They're 24 hour clocks and they're showing 21:00 at 9:00 AM and 09:00 at 9:00 PM
