Earlier this month, Commander Gumms stepped down from the position of SCE Commanding Officer, leaving Sharpkiller temporarily in command. As of today, Blackfire has officially returned to active duty and taken up the post of SCE CO, a position that the admiral held for quite some time prior to retiring in June this year.
In the information he gave, Chris5626 made the following statement regarding the change in Corps of Engineers Leadership.
Blackfire has returned from retirement to head up the Starfleet Corps of Engineers and has been given the rank of Vice Admiral.
If you require any other information regarding this, do not hesitate to contact Chris5626, Blackfire or any other member of Starfleet Command.

Congratulations - I would like to add that it is a reinstatement to his previous rank of Vice Admiral. It was decided his seat was still warm from when he left as it had not been long, and so his resignation was in effect reversed.

Thank you everyone. My return was for my benefit as much as it is the {UFP}'s. It's is time for the SCE to step forward with heads held high. A lot needs to be done and I have confidence that we'll push out a couple revolutionary changes in the coming months. Details are classified.
