The Dominion War

Does anyone have any or know of any good online sources that detail the "Dominion War"?

In the books I'm reading, post-war, it seems that this period of time pushed the Federation to the near breaking point. Starfleet suffered heavily in ships and personnel, while entire planets were occupied, leaving billions of dead.

Because of the terrible toll, it obviously has left a lasting impression upon the Star Trek universe. So in my overly curious nature, I wanted to know more about it.

Have you watched DS9? Seasons 3-7 cover the Dominion War.

As for books try 'Tales from the Dominion War' not only does it have a number of short stories about the war but it also has a pretty detailed timeline.

I haven't seen much of DS9 to be honest. Only what I ever briefly caught on TV on chance nights.

I'll definitely look into the short stories though. Perhaps after, I'll consider looking into the DS9 series.

I think the writers and producers for Deep Space Nine did a great job bringing the Dominion War to life on the screen, it's definitely worth checking out.

If the "tales from the dominion war" is the series of books that I'm thinking of then they seem pretty good. I read one of them once and the story was about a mission that was mentioned briefly in an episode. I won't do a spoiler but they said something along the lines of "X is out with the Defiant doing a mission at X", and then the book was about that mission! A very nice touch.

I would definately recommend watching DS9 before reading any of the books set during the Dominion War.
