It's been one year since the fleet celebrated its 8th Anniversary in which we held very successful events in order to commemorate 8 years since the United Federation of Planet's founding on May 1st 2002. How one year has passed since then is anyone's guess, so much has happened in that time that it doesn't really feel like a year. So on behalf of all of Starfleet Command, we'd like to thank every member that has joined the fleet in the 9 years that we've been in existence and to all those in particular during those years who have volunteered their time and effort to make the {UFP} such a unique fleet that it is today. Without all of our members, it wouldn't be the United Federation of Planets.
While so much has happened over the past year there's a lot to look forward to in our next as we come close towards our 10th year Anniversary and the release of Star Trek: Infinite Space which many I'm sure are going to be trying out. Starfleet Command in that time however will continue to plan ahead for the fleet in order to bring a higher standard of gaming to all that enters the {UFP}'s doors. We'd like to take this particular moment to thank those that have continued to stick with us despite some difficult times in the Star Trek Gaming Community to ensure that we always aim higher than what our Mission Statement lays out for us.
In all of the time that we've been here, we've remained a pure Star Trek Gaming Fleet that has never shifted its focus away from what our members care about. Where many others have moved into other games in order to increase their member count or to simply survive, the {UFP} has maintained it's roots and because of this I think it speaks for itself at how much members care for the fleet and find it appealing above others.
One final thank you to the many donators of the {UFP} over the past year. Your continued hard earned money has been spent on maintaining the fleet and providing high quality services that only help to bring a better community experience. You can check out how your money has been spent in the latest budget report.
We'll very shortly be posting up a schedule of the events that are coming up in the next week as we celebrate this significant milestone in the fleet's history, so make sure you keep your eyes open for that! They'll also be a few surprises along the way, so there's never going to be a dull moment.

As we bring the celebration week to an end, I'd like to thank everyone who was involved in organising events and activities, it's been an incredibly packed full and fun week!
9 Years is an incredible achievement for most organisations, but for a Star Trek only gaming clan, it's that little bit more special.
I'm very proud to continue to lead the fleet, and to do so alongside a very capable, dedicated and fun group of people.
Next year we'll be celebrating the big one oh, and I hope you can all be here to share that experience with us
While the week of festivities may be over, remember the fun and activities keep going. We'll be having episode re-runs to take advantage of Cryptics offer, plus other STO events; as well as continuing games in our many supported classic Star Trek titles!
