Sorry about the delay regarding pricing but we're now in a position to annouce a confirmed price for {UFP} members. We've managed to sort out what we feel is a really good price for Park Tickets for {UFP} members (CL3, CL4 and CL5) which we hope you will be pleased with.

Park Ticket for one adult costs:
£39.60

Park Ticket for a {UFP} member costs:

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

This price only applies to park admission. Any costs resulting from accommodation and transport will need to be paid for in full by the members incuring those costs, if members wish to upgrade to a Fastrack Ticket then they will need to pay the difference between a Park Ticket and a Fastrack Ticket. I would recommend all members bring some spending money for refreshments and souvenirs.

Just so members are aware SFC will be paying to cover the costs of park admission for this offer with their own money, {UFP} money may be used to cover some of the initial cost however if it is then SFC will replace that money with their own. In short, money donated by members will not be used to fund this deal.

Whats the difference in cost, and how will we meet? and are we having a TS meeting to talk about the trip?

The difference in cost will vary on the day depending on how many people are going since the more people that go the more the cost per head decreases which means the price difference between the park admission and the fastrack ticket increases. A fastrack ticket for all the rides (that have fastrack) costs £66 including tax (which is near enough double the normal entrance fee) cheaper fastrack tickets are available that limit what rides you get fastrack access to, fastrack tickets start from £4.50. Fastrack tickets are entirely optional and are not a requirement to gain access to any of the rides however it does mean that you will spend less time in line.

As for how we will meet we will designate a spot near the main entrance for everyone to meet up at a specific time, we will make sure that everyone has mobile phone numbers for those organising the event to make meeting up easier.

Closer to the time we will probably have a conversation on TS and duplicate what is said there on the forums so everyone has access.

Once we have a firm list of people attending I would suggest we meet up on TeamSpeak and discuss each other's travelling plans and accommodation and suggest meet up places and times at that point. I know some people are staying overnight at the same place, and the majority are travelling by rail, so it may be a good idea to meet prior to arriving at the park. But we'll sort those details out after we have a firm list as I say.

These days I think Chessington seems to accomodate younger visitors better than Thorpe Park does but it is all a matter of personal preference really.

Indeed, because Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures are in relatively close proximity to one another and owned by the same company, they've since split the target demographic for both theme parks. Some ride swapping has occurred between the two parks to facilitate this. With Chessington now catering to a more family orientated demographic, and Thorpe to the teen/adult market.
