I remember I could never get the environment indicator to green in SimCity 4, no matter how much parks and environmentalist ordinances I built/enacted. I used to play SC3K and SC4 a lot, never tried the earlier games though.

That Orb was wrong about one thing though, nuclear power plants pose no danger to health and are much more eco-friendly than any other fossil-fueled thermal power station, unless they explode. But this discussion is for another topic.

Oh man... That was my very first PC game purchase. I was 12 or 13 at the time. Spent loads of hours with that game.

Thanks for making me feel old. I remember going out to buy a soundcard so I could actually HEAR Wolfenstein 3D. The sound was amazing, so much better than what I was used to with games like Elite on the BBC Micro.
