New Executive Officer Appointed

Starfleet Academy is part of the fleet's backbone in administration, and maintaining a command staff that can deal with the dozens of recruits requiring attention each week is no easy task. With Captain Lazereth's recent appointment to the departments Commanding Officer position, the Executive Officer post was recently advertised in the jobs area.

Starfleet Academy is a section of the {UFP} which focuses on providing a learning experience to new and old members alike. Through the use of online software, courses exist in a variety of areas such as Star Trek: Online or indeed leadership skills.

With the search now over, I am happy to announce that JCarrill0 has been appointed as the new XO for the department, and with that, receiving the rank of Provisional Lieutenant Commander. Congratulations! Lazereth supplied a soundbite in which he expressed the qualities he feels his new XO has. "The applications were all of a very high standard, however, I have appointed JCarrill0 as my XO, his wealth of new ideas and commitment will make a great asset to the Academy."

The Academy is due to go through some changes in the next few months, so stay tuned as we're no doubt to find out more in the coming weeks!

I am truly Honored, I know there is alot to get done in the Academy, and plan to work the next few weeks hard with Laz to get things where he wants them. Thanks again for this opportunity.
