Star Trek Infinite Space is due to be released this Autumn, and the {UFP} has recently setup a new Star Trek Infinite Space division, that is currently not counted as a division due to the game not being out yet.
Star Trek Infinite Space, is the new Star Trek MMO, which is free to play, being developed by the company GameForge, known for other Free to Play games such as OGame. It will be a browser based game, utilising the Unity game engine.
Recently the job position for Star Trek Infinite Space community manager opened up, and thus the search began for the right person to fill this position. The job entails keeping our membership up to date with news on Infinite Space, encouraging forum discussion on Infinite Space and representing The United Federation of Planets on the official Star Trek: Infinite Space forums.
However, the search for the position holder has recently been completed, and it is my pleasure to announce that Ensign Brahmsul has been given the position and responsibilty of the ST:IS Community manager. Chris Halsey, our Chief of Staff has this to say about the appointment of our new community manager: "It isn't every day we get to prepare for the launch of a new Star Trek game and this is the first official browser based Star Trek title so it is something we certainly want to get right, by having a Community Manager in place they will be able to ensure our membership are kept up to date with all the latest news on Infinite Space and will be a vital asset as we plan our support of the title."
Now with Brahmsul being appointed as the Community manager we can be sure to see more updates and news about Infinite Space being posted on our forums as soon as it comes out. Chris Halsey would also like to add: "I would like to thank everyone that applied to the position, it is always nice to see our membership keen to pitch in to make our community a better place."

Whilst we have always supported a range of Star Trek games and will continue to do so, Infinite Space has the potential to be a really huge part of our future. By its nature of being a free, browser based title it can boldly appeal to a demographic no Star Trek game has appealed to before. I was really happy with Brahmsul's energy and enthusiasm when he applied for the position and am really excited with what our community can achieve with Infinite Space.
