Arrival on the August!
The crew begin to arrive on the USS August, currently docked at spacedock at Earth. They have a couple weeks of resupplying, testing, and tweaking before setting out.
The first mission of the USS August-D UFP Simm is the arrival of the crew. It began roughly 7/25 with personal log entries and on 8/4 with mission posts. We should be completed with this mission in the next few weeks, as it is just a simple welcome mission.
A reply will be made here once this mission is completed with a brief report.

The mission briefing was completed as a massive, 3-part, partially joint-post entry with all active players. It was a huge success, and a lot of fun. Our ops and helm officers then took us out of Spacedock and took us to warp towards Memory Alpha.
I had to rush the launch of our ship a few days to allow us to play along with the Borg attack. See Mission #2.
Mission #1 is concluded.

At the conclusion of each mission, I will award a handfull of awards to those who have gone above and beyond in various areas. Sometimes it will be one award and sometimes it will be many. And please know that there is no favoritism or leaving people out - I am as unbiased as I can possibly be, while not giving out 500 awards each mission.
If you did not receive an award, please avoid complaining. It is almost guaranteed that you were recognized by me, but I just did not or could not give out that award for that mission. It comes down to now overloading every mission and every player with a bunch of awards.
That being said, if you feel another person was left out, feel free to nominate them for that mission (please wait until the mission is complete): http://ufplanets.com/novasimm/index.php/user/nominate.
For Mission #1 I have chosen to give out one simple award since it was a fairly simple mission of getting started. I could have given out a few more, but since it was our intro award, I wanted to give just the single "OOC MVP" award which I just added to the awards today.
For trying to blow up, fix, break, repair, and hone the engineering department and the mechanics of the ship altogether, Ensign Kurtis Lyden (Belcans) receives the OOC MVP award. Many of you added as much content and excitement as Lyden, but his work down in Engineering was quite humorous and deserved recognition this time. Congratulations!
Again, feel free to nominate and I (and other GMs) will look them over and award them at the end of the mission. Due to this Borg mess, I foresee a lot more medals at the end of Mission #2.

Thank you Captain. I'd like to nominate everyone for an award as we had just outstanding posts all throughout mission 1.
