RPG-X Advanced Edition 1.0.1 Patch

Hello guys,

Unfortunately, a couple of important maps were not included in the initial release of the Advanced Edition. This patch will fix a couple of issues, and will now allow you to connect to the upcoming SRP without any issues.

Download Patch 1.0.1 Now 36 MB

If you downloaded the full Advanced Edition after this announcement was posted, you do not need to download this file. Patch 1.0.1 is now included in the full installer.

I did notice a glitch in the patcher.
1. patcher installs into {UFP}Gaming\RPG-X Advanced Edition Patch, not {UFP} Gaming\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force - RPG-X Advanced Edition
2. If you select create shortcut on desktop it overwrites the old shortcut and points it to the wrong quake3.exe

I had the same thing happen to me. Though, I was able to re-point the shortcut to the Quake3.exe file in the main folder.

Hi guys, I've fixed the issues. If you've already downloaded and installed it, you can just move the files from {UFP}Gaming\RPG-X Advanced Edition Patch\BaseEF to {UFP}Gaming\RPG-X Advanced Edition\BaseEF. Alternatively, you can re-download the patcher and allow it to install the files into the correct place.

Sorry for the inconvenience guys, I was in a bit of a rush this morning so I didn't get a chance to test it before releasing it.

is anyone else having problems with the installer? or is just me? computer just sits and does nothing when trying to install either edition.

Make sure you're running the installer as an administrator.

RGP-X crashes on me and I get this error message

I had that message pop up once I'd exited the program.

Yeah that message popping up when you exit the program is a bug with RPGXEF, it shouldn't have any hindrance on gameplay.

I get that as well. The RPG-X icon/launcher works, but the Legacy one blows up and gives me that error. I also get the error when I exit the RPG-X program.

I'm running Windows 7.

tried that. doesn't freeze. it just sits there with the busy icon doing nothing

it seems to do something to windows explorer. has to restart every time i have to control alt delete

since updating the target for the icon, I haven't crashed nor received that error message again

That error is only associated with the special EF engine included with the Basic Edition and Advanced Edition - it is not included with the Legacy Edition so you shouldn't be receiving it. If by Legacy Edition, you meant you were attempting to run Holomatch with the Basic Edition or the Advanced Edition installer then it won't work. The special EF engine is not compatible with standard Holomatch as its specifically designed for RPG-X, that's why you're likely receiving the error.

If you'd like to play Holomatch, you'll need to download and install the actual Legacy Edition.

As I said before, receiving the error on shutdown is normal and shouldn't be a problem.

As for the problems you're encountering Tomroseuk, I'm not really sure what to say. It's the first I've heard of the problem, what operating system are you running?
