Hello all
I'm the new turtle 'round these parts and thought I'd say hello to everyone. I'm from the states, Texas specifically, and no I don't ride a horse to work. 
I think it'd be pretty cool to do so though! Long time trekkie, just jumped into STO a few weeks ago when I heard about the ground combat revamp. So far it has been an absolute blast - I really enjoy the ground game and it's amazing to hear how "bad" it used to be.
I love a great community coupled with a great game, and when I found the UFP recruitment post and subsequently the web site I knew I found just that. So far everyone has been super friendly, and I hope to be able to return the kindness I've been shown.
In game I play a Bajoran science captain, Mithos. I also have a KDF Gorn character, Sathir, that I intend to play quite often as well - it's just fun to be the bad guy sometimes. I've noticed a few really active KDF guys in the fleet, so hello to ya'll and hope to be blasting some feddies with you soon. Mithos is currently Cmdr 6 and my Gorn is still a little nooblet at Lt 10.
Anyway, greetings to all and see you in game!
P.S. I noticed we have an active Elite Force group - how cool is that! I never played it but always wanted to, but thought it was long gone. Nice to see it has been modded and resurrected. What's the gameplay like and how does the fleet fit into it?
