Over the past 2 years the {UFP} has been home to my on-line adventures , though role-playing to advice on team-speak, today i have come back from seeing my army doctor due to me suffering from combat stress and he said i have come a long way since he first saw me back in April 2009, when i first got wind of what i was suffing from i found it hard to maintain normal life inacting with other people was task in it self i fought in many operations around the world including Afgan which i had a head injury which led to me been discharged on medical grounds , iraq op telic 1 , 3 ,5 , Bosina x2 , the doctor today said what ever i did to cailm myself down it seem to worked.
( i know some off you are thinking this a bit to personal but i a sure you now i not going into much detail )
Sept 2009 i found a group called {UFP} with little to no knowledage of anything trek i jumped to the chance to join in something that was supportive and with a good network of people . At the time i did not know anyone or anything about the games they play since then i have installed many games and enjoyed countless of nights getting involed in many areas around the UFP it self though admin side to playing online , with out this suport i personally dont think i could of made it with out the people i talk to day in day out ( list is too big to name lol ).
Since then i did have a break down in life hit a wall so to speak i had to sort my life out in order to get me back on my feet , when i returned i welcomed with many smiles of welcome back
Chris H - Thats the last time we send Babyhead down the shop - lol
Anyways i know i break a rule or 2 writing this but got say a big thank you to you guys and i glad to be part of something ,
Just a little note to people who like crewman - LT etc dont be afraid of getting involed at LT jr grade i got involed in the respect campaign there are many areas to go with in the FLeet not just gaming there is also admin areas
I post a few videos on here i understand there is a charty link i no way express you should make a donation it there just to explain what is combat stress and how this site has helped me over the past 2 years
And again big thank you to all my friends i have on here for all the support

Hi Babyhead,
I just want to say yours is a touching story and it's great to know that you are doing well and also what the {UFP} means to you. I, like many can't imagine what you've gone through both in terms of your military tours and living with combat stress. What I can say to you is that it's great that you are learning to deal with it and that you are getting the support you need, wherever that may be. I'm also glad that to hear the {UFP} has played apart of that and it shows the value that online communities have in people's lives.
I am a firm believer that we all have our crosses to bear in life. No one has it easy, despite what it may appear to others. I wholeheartedly agree with Babyhead that an online community such as the {UFP} can help in a variety of ways, whether that be providing support, a place to let off steam, escapism or finding a place in which you can belong and contribute in a meaningful way.
Back to you, Babyhead, I just want to say that I admire your honesty and that you certainly have my respect, not least of all for your military service. Which in my opinion, we British don't do enough to recognise unlike the US.

Hey Babyhead,
I don't think that was too personal at all. You felt that you had something to say and you said it, and the world needs more of that.
1 in 5 of us will undergo mental health difficulties at some in our lives and for a variety of reasons. It can happen to any of us, and with people like yourself sharing your stories it'll make future people feel less alienated and different.
For one thing you make the job of the Time to Change programme much easier!
There's a few of us on these forums who do work in mental health and on behalf of them I'd like to say thank you so much for sharing your story. You show a great courage in doing something that some of us can't.
Regards

Great story Babyhead and I can agree that a wonderful community like {UFP} can help a great deal, for me though it is my Shyness and speech even though I do mumble a times the more I talk on TS the better I get, which is a big difference from not talking at all.

Babyhead, I've sat here and written and erased probably a good 10 pages worth of text trying to find the words to say. Simply put I can't, all I can say is we're here for ya bud, and I am personally as well. The fact that you've found such a home here makes me quite proud to call myself a member of the {UFP} and the brothers and sisters I've gained. I've said it before, I said it when I had only been here a week. This fleet is one of a kind, this group is amazing, not because of what it has done, though it has done great things, but because of each person in it.
From the newest recruit to Hath, each person has made {UFP} what it is today, and for you to be able to come forward with your own personal story about what you've been through and how the fleet has made such a big impact on your life, simply amazing my friend.
Cheers bud, we all stand together, through thick and thin.
-Brahm
