Jordan is my new favourite vacation spot.
All of you can take your minds out of the gutter and instead use them to ponder the creation of a new $1.5 Billion amusement park, to be located on the coast of Jordan. This new amusement park, which will be entirely powered by "green" energy, is going to be a Trekkie's dream paradise, sporting a Star Trek theme.
In 1996, King Abdullah II of Jordan made a cameo appearance as a science officer on the USS Voyager in the episode "Investigations", and has now decided to make his dream, and the dreams of every Trekkie come true. The park, which is to be called The Red Sea Astrarium, will be built on 184 acres of land and will primarily feature an attraction inspired by the 2009 Star Trek film. The attraction will culminate in a state-of-the-art space-flight adventure, which will no doubt appeal to hard core trekkies as well as the casual fan.

The developer, Rubicon Group Holding will be working closely with CBS to realise a unique and entertaining theme park, which adheres faithfully to the franchise. “At its core, Star Trek is about bringing worlds together and about a profound hope for the future,” said Liz Kalodner, EVP and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products. “We are proud to bring such a unique, interactive Star Trek property to this part of the world to be a part of Jordan’s future.”
For those of you hoping to spend the last few days of your summer vacation at the park, you might need to find other plans. The theme park is scheduled for opening in Spring 2014.

Just a minor correction King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein wasn't actually on the Bridge during his cameo he was in a corridoor (I think on deck 2) and as I recall he was having a conversation with Harry Kim (although he didn't speak as he wasn't allowed since he wasn't a member of the Screen Actors Guild) which gets interrupted by Neelix so they can talk about his 'Briefing with Neelix' show... days later Jordan declared war on Talax
And here is a little more info about his involvement in Star Trek from Memory Alpha
King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein (Arabic: عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين) (born 30 January 1962; age 49) is the king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. An acknowledged fan of Star Trek, King Abdullah (then a prince) appeared as an uncredited extra in the 1996 Star Trek: Voyager episode "Investigations". Voyager executive producer Jeri Taylor commented, "Take away the title and the trappings, and at the core you have a Star Trek fan." (Star Trek Monthly issue 16)
Abdullah's cameo was arranged as a surprise for him by his US advisor. The prince – who, at the time of his cameo, was thirty-four years old – enthused, "I would have been thrilled just to visit the set but this is too much." After being put into makeup, given pointed sideburns and then fitted for his uniform (a lieutenant of the science/medical division), he rehearsed and shot his scene. (TV Guide, 17-23 Feb., p. 26)
He appears in the episode's opening scene as a science officer who speaks with Harry Kim as the scene fades in. He was not given any spoken lines, however, because he is not a member of the Screen Actors Guild. After filming his cameo, he was crowded by well-wishers, including Robert Picardo, who secretly presented the delighted guest with an autographed picture of himself in his role of The Doctor. (TV Guide, 17-23 Feb., p. 26) Abdullah subsequently gave a party for the Voyager cast. (Star Trek Monthly issue 16)
During his time on the Star Trek: Voyager set, Abdullah also invited Robert Picardo and Neelix actor Ethan Phillips to his own country of Jordan, an offer that Phillips took up during the hiatus between Voyager's second and third seasons. (Star Trek Monthly issue 20)
Abdullah later reflected, "It was just an opportunity to see how things work in Hollywood, and I've got to hand it to the people of Voyager. I found it very tough, and I was glad that I was a soldier and not an actor, definitely." (Star Trek Magazine issue 115, p. 9)

I'm gonna visit the park, absolutely! Didn't know that King Abdullah II was so into ST. Checked him out on the Voyager episode in which he is in. Great acting... well, stading and walking away, but acting still!
