I've been wondering who in the UFP plays a musical instrument, so I thought I'd ask.
With so many members we must have alot of musicians, so...

I can play the Cello....badly. 5 years of lessons and i got to grade 1...

I play Guitar, banjo, dobro, steel guitar, bass, drum and some keyboard. My mom was a bonfied hllbilly and grew up playing blue grass she taught me to play at a young at very young age.

Use to be in a hobby band in High School in the late 70s and in 78/79 we won Norther Nevada Battle of the Bands was really cool. Haven't done much since the mid 80s I pick up my Gibson every so often and plink a bit but that is about it.

I was 5 when my mom started teaching me and I am 52 now so a long long time.

I used to play the trombone, steel drums, and sing, but now just restrict myself to playing spoons.

I play the Cello. Have done for the last 12 years. I'm in a large orchestra and in a group that play at parties and weddings.
Hoping to get an Electric Cello later this month.

I also play the Double Bass and, occasionally, the Bass Guitar.

Played the trumpet in school, wasn't great but eh, wasn't the worst either.
Since then I sometimes play keyboard or piano, learned contemporary versus tradition classical style. Been playing off an on for the past 10 years. Mostly as a professional sound engineer I've resigned to making others sound great.

I used to play the guitar. I was self-taught and since I'm not a musical person (unlike my sister) I wasn't very good. I could play such hits as:
X-Men cartoon theme
Call of Ktulu - Metallica
Imperial March - Star Wars
Final Fantasy 7 boss theme

My sister, on the other hand, is becoming very talented. She plays Saxophone, Flute, Piano, Guitar although the piano is her main instrument. She's not a Trek fan but is heavily into Battlestar Galactica and it was a very proud day for me when she recently bought the piano book that McCreary recently released :icon_twisted:

Tried a few instruments in High School, was fairly good with the Keyboard/Piano mite try picking it up again.

As for any instruments I can play right now, I am very good on the plastic guitar (Guitar Hero)

as for any real music well i used to play the flute and saxophone but as i grew older i losed the the flow of it

the music i like yea i know its sad and old but its in my Irish blood and some of you know i welsh but i was born in Ireland and all my family are Irish i sitting here listen to this now rembering the times where my family used to have get togethers and play these music types as child i used to love them and now i more inclined to relax and chill

i did write a song once when i was 14 years old lol about Irish kid struggling to come to terms with the absence of his normal social life it cam first in my high school and got 3 rd overall in wales but i cant get my hands on the original i think i may of loosed tho out the years
