    From my knowledge friend, you have to make sure your drivers are up to date. It happened to me with my original game earlier in the week.

    I already uptodated it. It happens every time a new catalyst comes out.Confused
    The Legacy edition doesn't have this problem.

    The Legacy Edition and the Advanced Edition are using two different engines. The Advanced Edition is using a more powerful and advanced custom game engine. I'm not really sure what is causing this issue as usually Elite Force is pretty good at crashing and displaying an error message when something goes wrong.

    Without knowing what is exactly wrong, what I suggest is manually installing the custom engine: http://www.ufplanets.com/server/rpgxEFwinclient.zip

    Just extract the contents of that zip file to your RPG-X install location, by default C:\Program Files (x86)\{UFP} Gaming\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force - RPG-X Advanced Edition on 64-bit systems and C:\Program Files\{UFP} Gaming\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force - RPG-X Advanced Edition on 32-bit systems.

    I did something similar. Manual installation with elite force. It works now, but a little slow sometimes.

    I had the same problem with the black screen and that zip file helped fix it.
