The Fringe and Beyond
The crew must now journey from station Memory Alpha through contested space and out into deep space, on the edge of known systems and outside the borders of any controlled space. What will they find? What struggles will find them? This is the true beginning of their tour, and their first real tests are right around the corner!

Captain's Log 52112.38
The August answered a call from Admiral Quinn to find two missing Saber class vessels only to find signs of recent activity in space and on the planet Iconia. We have sent an away team down to the surface via Runabout to investigate, while the August leaves the sector in pursuit of Romulan ship traces.
On the way, we lost contact with the away team. Unfortunately, we had to continue to find the Romulan vessel and the Sabers, which we did. We have now discovered two grave things. First, the Romulan ship was taken over by a "mad" commander. Second, Officer Ovik, who we thought was on the away mission, showed up and revealed we're not dealing with the real Ovik (on Iconia) or Commander Dulus (on the IRV Thrai).
We have concluded these are Devidians, and possibly something else. But until we take care of the Romulans and get back to Iconia, we won't know the whole puzzle.

((OOC: We have two massive Joint Post threads going. Part 1 of both teams is posted, and Part 2 is coming. Part 3 we will hopefully join together in one massive conclusion. This has been slow going, but it has been excellent writing and hopefully fun for everyone. More to come upon completion!))

Captain's Log 52112.58
We have completed our inspection and research on the Iconia mystery. It appears an ancient doctor was using Trill brain power and energies to feed its engines and somehow the Devidians became involved, possibly as agents of the doctor. Was the doctor Iconian? We may not ever know for 100% certain. But we now have our beloved scientist Stark back.
The crew did wonderfully and have been commended at the individual level and by Starfleet Command for their efforts. We leave the Iconia sector for Outpost 235, safely behind once again.
