    I've dabbled in it, and even fought in a few of the big battles with big player ships on both sides, but the P2W-ness of the game really turned me off.

    Ah right. you don't have to. the only thing i bought was a updated raider. everything else i have been mining water and trading it for the cubits. i know that a lot of people do just pay, but if you have the time, there is nothing making you spend the money on it.

    I've got a colonial character Galactica118, Viper MkII upgrade is my choice of ship Smile. Some of the PvP can be fun, especially if you get a load of Vipers and raptors go smash some toasters together. A lot of P2W I think but for occasional playing its ok I've seen far worse!

    I agree, i have now dropped this game too. do not enjoy having to pay for every single upgrade with real money.

    Just so you guys know, you don't have to pay real money, my advanced viper mark 7 is extremely deadly and I didn't pay a penny for anything other then buying the ship itself (used the one time 12.99 for 75k cubit deal during a happy hour), all the gear I got on it I upgraded by earning the cubits in game via my dailies and water mining (and the FTL mission with a Divine Inspiration, ran that twice with the DI active netting 70k cubits).

    I currently play it daily, level 54 currently with almost 600 pvp kills to my credit. I'm on the scorpia server flying under the name WNx_Lordkabal26 colonial side.

    Battlestar Galactica Online is rather bad. I'm working on a Mod For 2142 called Galactica 2142.

    There was a guy who know works for them (I forgot his name) which was working on our ROK II Mod for BF2 (another Battlestar Galactica mod) and stole idea's and other stuff from us. Thankfully it turned out bad.
