Hello UFP clan. I'm Xortox new to STO. Heard about this fleet from the STO forums. Came to the website and was instantly impressed by the LCARs design and even for the forums it looks great. I'm a hardcore gamer from the east coast of US (CT). I'm a IT professional by trade, worked in repair shops for pc/game consoles. Ran webservers and radio servers, designed websites etc. As for gaming I started out PC gaming with Half-Life and Counter-Strike, after a while I got into Valvle Hammer Editor and became a 3D level designer for a while. As a kid I started off with Sega Genesis and went through different consoles. But today I prefer PC over game console as when I used to work in the repair shop I see how flawed and crappy they make some of these consoles, xbox 360s were the most to come in for repairs, the 1st gen.
Though I do enjoy being around computers I'm an outdoors guy as well. I enjoy fishing, working around my yard that is at the top of a mountain and I am into botany and grow my own food and plants. I'm always willing to lend people a hand and volunteer my skills when needed. Glad to be here and hope this wasn't too long an intro or boring.
I do plan on applying, but I have to leave a fleet I just joined this morning first, unfortunately the server is down so I cant do that yet

Greetings, and thank you for showing your interests. We do perfer you to fill out an basic app on your self first ,

Then once your app is accepted we perfer a request to join in game fleet by filling out an additional form for record keeping of cadets of our fleet. Once accepted by the Command into our forums area, they will direct you to the in game request form to join our in game fleet..And one us jr officers will send you a invite..Feel free to look around our forums and ask questions if you not sure. We do also offer Teamspeak 3 and you are welcome to join that as well.

Thank you for the welcome Lieutenant. I actually have the app page open and all filled out, I just did not submit it yet. I'm waiting for the server to come back up so I can leave the fleet I just joined this morning and then properly submit the form.
Edit: Server is back up, I left the fleet and have submitted my application to join UFP.
