    This is what annoys me about the All Good Things... episode of TNG. Pretty much EVERYONE entirely misses the true point of the episode.

    The lovely Star Trek hidden meaning really isn't so far below the surface yet is far too often missed.

    Right at the end of the episode when playing poker Crusher wonders why Picard told his crew about the future he encountered, La Forge states that it seems to go against all the rules about not polluting the timeline. Riker expresses his belief that Picard told them so they would not end up making the mistakes that led to such a bleak future and Worf agrees with him.

    Don't you all see?

    Picard went against regulations in an desperate attempt to make sure noone ever stuck a 3rd bloody nacelle on to his ship and in doing so creating the mistaken belief that strapping an extra warp engine on to any old starship design instantly makes it look better!

    I have to agree with the Admiral on the number of nacelles. I think it looks wrong if their are a odd number of nacelles.

    I'd agree with that when applied to ships like the Kelvin. That thing is ugly. Two nacelles would have made it a likable design.

    My main beef with ships is multiple secondary hulls/deflectors. No need, doesn't look good.
