Starfleet Command is continually looking forward to improving the fleet in every way possible. As a result, over the past year we have moved in leaps and bounds, purchasing new forums and finding new technological advances.
It is my pleasure to announce that SFC has pre-purchased vBulletin Publishing Suite 4.0, which will improve our capabilities greatly. This new Publishing Suite has better template control, which means problems such as the profile pages might now be able to be fixed. It has blogging capabilities, for members who like to express themselves, as well as being a tool for FNN. The CMS is integrated into the forums, which allows for the website to be MUCH more efficient than the one we have currently. This fully integrated solution will allow us to fully utilize the capabilities of a CMS in our day to day operations.
That is what Thomas Mullaly said in a press release earlier today announcing to the rest of the United Federation of Planets the plans Starfleet Command have install that will indeed move us on from our current Joomla based website into a much more cohesive and efficient website.
Chris5626 who is also in Starfleet Command had the following to say about all of this.
"This is another example of SFC's commitment to deliver the best possible infrastructure for all of the members of the {UFP}".
To find out further information regarding this step forward, go the to vBulletin website which lists information regarding this new software the {UFP} is purchasing.
