I believe you are the First Greek. I have heard of Xanthi, I believe its in Thrace. I do Classical studies so I hear about this and that. I won't tell you what I have heard about Thrace since its from the Acharnians. I believe everyone is going to be offended unless you are an Athenian, and even then Aristophanes will try and get you for being a fool and listening to Cleon.

Yeap you got it right its in Thrace, my hometown is Kavala (you may know it as filipoupoli or filipoi) which is 1 hour drive away, Xanthi is where i study for uni

Anyway ancient Greece has nothing to do with modern (sadly, i suppose you know whats going on in here nowadays) but even now there is an ongoing rivarly between northern Greece and Athens among the (nothing_better_to_do_straight_to_the_core_idiot) people... well this isn't the section to talk more about it I guess

Yes, nations always seem to be divided by north and south. Germany is divided from north and south due to religion, Britain is divided from north to south due to infrastructure and business. Vietnam, China, Belgium, United States, France and Spain also are divided by north and south, I do not know enough about the divide to have a conversation.

I believe its fine to have this conversation under this thread, as long as no one complains.If you would prefer we can talk later on TS, whilst playing some STO.

I believe this is established and maintained by our precious goverments (or any other means of autharitah), a way to keep the people busy fighting among themselves. Of course this is not limited within the geographical rivarlies, it has many other levels..... divide and conquer, the romans admitted.

It's the same here in Asia where Trek fans are few and far between.

To me that is a good thing. I've enough of tolerating abuse from my peers just because of certain cultural and appearance differences.

It's shows like Star Trek that allow me to think that mantra "adversity breeds innovation" and triumph over those who want me literally, dead, including my very own parents.

To those who want me put down, Star Trek is considered 'way too complicated', guess what, if I master Western style communication and critical thinking skills, I can go whereever I want :3
