Gamers unhappy with the endings of Mass Effect 3 will get "further closure" thanks to new added content, developer Bioware has announced.

Large numbers of fans had complained that the finale to the popular saga did not live up expectations.

The company said they would provide a number of "game content initiatives" to clarify aspects of the game's plotline.

In a blog post, Bioware co-founder Ray Muzyka described the feedback as "incredibly painful".

Yeah I've known about that since yesterday, all over Facebook especially the 'Retake Mass Effect 3' movement.

Frankly if 'Dr' Ray thought the feedback was 'incredibly painful' he clearly hasn't played and finished the game, has he? Because if so he would feel as ripped off and flipped off as we all are. That said I think all three games of the trilogy are pure gold - until the last ten minutes.

And I have the feeling they were planning to provide a number of 'game content initiatives' from the beginning just to squeeze even more money out of us after game purchase via DLC's. You can see that when they provide 'From Ashes' DLC which unless you have a Collector's Edition you have to pay for on DAY ONE of release.

And if they charge us for a better ending that actually makes sense I will excommunicate BioWare and EA for life.

im not at the end of the game yet. im not a big fan of having to up my readiness via iphone app of multiplayer. other then that no complaints from the rest of the series. its seams 2 was better then 1 and 3 is better then 2. im assuming im about 90% of the way through 3

I gave up on BioWare years ago. Every game is the same... Halls and rooms, halls and rooms, halls and rooms... They're the masters of phony choices with all thier plots on rails... They have the same archtype supporting casts to the point it's cliche...

I bought ME1 on Amazon Super Saver for $3 and could barely finish it. ME2 was better, but the middle of the game was so dull... If it weren't for the ending I would have regretted that $20 bargain bin purchase... ME3... I'm not even going to bother. Day 1 DLC... Horrible ending... The negation of choices I made in ME1 and ME2 because they couldn't be bothered to branch the story they promised would respect our choices...

Besides, I like more open world games. If I'm going to spend a 100 hours with a story, it's going to be an interactive-game story, not a second-rate B-movie pretending to be a game.

I love ME3. Up until the end I thought the game was epic, good story, nice character development. Was good to be kicking Cerberus like I wanted to all the way through ME2 with The Illusive Man pi**ing me off at every opportunity. Making me the bait for a Collector ship... son of a *%!!@%$! !!!!!

The ending is a bit WTF? in nature, but in a way it's good and makes a little bit of sense if you stretch it a lot lol. My take on it below, highlight to see the spoiler

I chose the destroy option, I thought that if I could end the Reaper threat forever it would be worth it no matter the cost. Even if I have to sacrafice Earth, Humanity and all the other advanced races it would be worth it so that future civilisations wouldn't be under the threat of the Reapers. I wasn't expecting however for the Mass Relays to explode, which is daft since they destroy the whole system as seen in the arrival DLC in ME2. Secondly I see a brief glimpse of Shepard breathing on Earth as the debris is clearly rubble not tech from the Citadel. Makes me lean heavily towards the Indoctrination Theory that's been bonded around a lot, makes the final sequence after the epic charge and lazor pawnage section much more believable.

I didnt like the Ending either. I did what Terrell but wached some Youtube vids on the other ending Both i was unhappy about and soon as that happened i kinda left ME3 alone..
