LynxMukka began the meeting and welcomed those that attended the Fleet Meeting for March 2012. He later explained the general outline for the meeting, to which can be listened to in the recording.

SECRETARY OF STATE REPORT

• There have been new inter-fleet events and a new type of treaty is being introduced. There are hopes to continue events with 3rd Fleet, and expanding to 12th Fleet and VKF.
• Activity within the department has been high, with new staff members onboard.

SECRETARY OF INTERIOR REPORT

SECRETARY OF COMMERCE & TECHNOLOGY REPORT

• The fleet has bought the Android Mobile app so that people can view the forums on the go. We're still aiming to get the iPhone app.
• Roll Call has now been put on an automatic system, so that the beareacracy is decreased within the fleet.
• You are now able to see which divisions any member of the fleet is in, looking in their profile.
• Website pages for divisions and departments are now automatically updated.
• Seeker has been working on a STO character database working.

SECRETARY OF SOCIAL AFFAIRS REPORT

SECRETARY OF DEFENCE REPORT

• Mikester92 reminded the division commands to submit their monthly reports. He also liked to thank the division commanders for all achieving to submit all necessary recommendations.

STARFLEET ACADEMY REPORT

• The RSO system is going well, with a lot of new members joining, and Rhetorical and Babyhead joining the Recruit Support Officer system. At the moment, the Academy has had to double book the system to make sure every member gets assigned an RSO.
• New things are going to be happening with some of the courses in the Academy. Previously, the Academy has run its educational programmes on a system called Moodle. From very shortly, members will be able to take courses and exams from the {UFP} site itself.
• The in-game training courses are being phased out due to members getting confused between the elective courses and in-game training... Polls will be setup soon to get members opinions.

STARFLEET OPERATIONS REPORT

• Seeker asked whether there was anyone interested in being an event officer for the division since they do need more.
• Seeker is back from his Leave of Absence.
• Burtonshaw has managed to get the Fleet Bank up and running as well as the Fleet Shop.

HOUSE OF KULAR REPORT

• Activity within the Klingon division has been going on the up. There will be a specific Klingon event will be heading onto the fleet calendar in April.
• The secret war will be going ahead soon where the victors are finally chosen.
• There will be a new HoK uniform decided soon.

STARFLEET RESERVES REPORT

• The Reserves structure has changed now, so that it has three squadrons, the reserve, harriers and ravens squadrons. They're not official divisions, rather areas where we'll be running events for every so often.
• An event is running on Sunday for Harriers, which will be an introductory session in RPG-X.

FEDERATION NEWS NETWORK REPORT

• Two new writers have now been recruited to revitalise news writing, KraziyK and Rhetorical. The department is also looking to recruit another person, for the devwatch program which was popular under Airik.
• In regards to the Herald, the Spring Herald will be released soon.
• The focus of the department for the time being, will be on the backbone components, such as News Writing and the Herald.
• Kyuusaku asked for peoples involvement with projects, since there is a trend of people saying they'd be interested in helping out, but when push comes to shove, they don't commit.
• A command position advert will be put up in job postings in the next couple of weeks.

FLEET CHIEF OF STAFF REPORT

• LynxMukka talked about the Fleet proposals, inviting members to comment on some of the proposals, since member feedback on those issues is greatly appreciated.
• It was reminded that if members are wanting to make a proposal, that they check the other forums to make sure they're not proposing something that has already been suggested/implemented.
• He also complemented Sharpkiller, for completing the new Fleet Feedback form, which is not compulsory for members to fill out, it simply redirects to that page automatically in case a member has a suggestion/complaint or compliment.

Mikester reminded those about the UFPAC tomorrow.
Sharpkiller reminded users are able to look into myUFP to see their current Roll Call status.




Skooby raised an issue with lack of American timed events for various STO events. Points were raised that due to lack of certain American event officers, it makes it more difficult to schedule events for those timezones. It was asked that those that are interested, the divisions are looking to take on more event officers.




McClintock asked a question about possible issues with people applying for positions but not getting an immediate positions.

• It was mentioned that the March Award Ceremony is tomorrow at 21:30 UFPTIME. As many as possible should attend if they can. A changelings event will follow.
• Ravens Squadron Frag Night is next thursday at 20:00 UFPTIME, as is every Thursday.
• There is an RPG-X event this Sunday at 20:00 UFPTIME for Harriers Squadron.
• There is a Klingon levelling event at 19:30 UFPTIME on Saturday (tomorrow).

I wish I could have been there but I had friends over so I couldn't make it, but I would just like to point out for events wise: The Reserves Squadron is also hosting events, with an Armada 2 Roleplay today at 19:00 and next week there is a Bridge Commander Tournament, check out further details in the Reserves Forum mission ops

Excellent minutes and recording. Sorry I couldn't be there - the Friday/Saturday UFP meetings are horrible for me, so I can almost never attend these types of events/meetings.
