Anime/Manga?

I know some of you probably watch or read manga, but lets see what kinds you're into. Mostly my taste is kind of picky to the point where I rarely watch or read much anymore (Since most anime and manga they pump out is out of my genre liking). Atm the anime and manga I've only been really keeping up with is Naruto.

However back in the day I was all about the good stuff; DB/DBZ, Yu yu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, Zoids, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Samurai Deeper Kyo, ect. Just a taste of what I've watched. lol So lets hear what you guys like.

I read and watch a lot if its Anime and Manga. There's a lot of fresh ideas that can come up from there, and when you do find something its very interesting and great.

I've read and watched pretty much everything you listed. Add in a lot of harem and romance comedies, like Love Hina, as I'm a sucker for a good love story.

I like Naruto.
But I grew up on Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, have been a fan of the two ever since. I'm kind of shocked that my parents never noticed the multiple sexual references.

I remember in the early 90's, YES, that far back, watching things like Akira, Vampire Hunter D and Urotsukidoji-Legend of the Demon Womb etc..very graphic, some, very heavy on sexual content, but great fun. Fists of the North Star too...

Ghost in the Shell is my absolute favourite, I've got everything on paper and disc for that. I don't really watch series though and tend to get more films but if I like it, I get really into it. Still waiting on SAC season 3...

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is possibly among my favourites right now in terms of anime, I have read some of the manga related to it as well, but fallen behind on a lot of reading.

Yotsuba&! is another manga I enjoy reading.

I could list everything I've watched and read if you like, it's diffrent to the things you guys seem to be listing :p

So far so good, I know in a another community I was apart of for gaming some the anime fans there liked some weird stuff. Like animes with high school kids killing each other or something. lol Way out of my range.

@Jake: Ahhh Vampire Hunter D and Fists of the North Star, now that takes me back.

@Three: I knew some people who liked the Haruhi Suzumiya series, although I never cared for that genre. The opening for it is catchy though, same with Lucky Star opening. lol

Hey Three I just happened to watch the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie on Netflix the other day, and it blew my mind. Kind of wish the series was on there.

Now on to my selection,

GUNDAM Wing, Seed/Destiny and 00(Megaupload closed down in the middle of S2 ).
Sadly never seen the original though, I know how the story goes thanks to the Dynasty Warrior Gundam series.

Ghost in the Shell
Cowboy Bebop
Full Metal Alchemist
Tokko(a Netflix find, hoping to see a S2 at some point)
Bleach(Gave up on it after Anime Central shut down a few years ago, way too many episodes to watch now)
Code Geass
High School of the Dead(who can turn down an Anime Zombie Apocalypse)

And pretty much anything with Mecha in it

That's what I can name of my head, always like good suggestions. As for Manga, don't really read it.

@Dodgers: Ahh Cowboy Bebop, another good one. lol I stopped watching Bleach after Ichigo lost his powers, not to mention the fillers for that anime was god awful.

Lol, the film is pretty insane, although the series is as well since it doesn't happen in order unless you choose to watch it in order.

lol I was waiting for someone to list Pokemon as a anime they've seen. I wasn't gonna count it but on the subject, good show from my childhood up to like season 3ish. After 251 it just got too crazy to keep up with, the original 151 will always be the greatest. I also watched some of Cardcaptors which was mostly because I watched a guilty pleasure anime that lead me into it...which was Sailor moon. >.> lol Damn toonami.

Talking about toonami, anyone remember that hamster anime? Hamtaro I think it was? Also Shin-Chan was a very funny anime.

Btw Dodgers since you like Mech stuff you'd probably like this anime since I didn't see it on your list (Although I personally never got into it):

I'm kind of old school. I cut my teeth in the 80s with Gatchaman and Uchuu Senkan Yamato. I've been hooked on anime and manga ever since.

@Droxy Me and my fiancee are currently working through the Pokemon series at the moment. We're towards the end of series 6 at the moment, it gets weird.

@Three I'm just working my way through Cardcaptors. What did you think of it?
