Have there been any discussion or thoughts on how our starbase is going to look on the outside as well as the internal design and do we have any choice over the matter?

I ask as season 6 is to implement starbases and I have read that missions will be available for fleet members to help build the base and to to get hold of valueable resources for it to keep it up and running. there will also be fleet pvp and attacks on starbases etc.

Thing is looking at SOL we could have our own social areas, gambling machines, meeting rooms where perhaps people could be interviewed for membership to UFP if on Teamspeak and our own fleets of ships and shuttles.

I've been curious about this as well. What all do we even know is going to be included in the starbase system as of season 6 though? I've been watching for details, but I haven't seen much outside of rather vague hints.

Probably gonna wait till release so people can mess around with it, since discussing it before it releases without knowing everything about it would be disappointing on our part. The fact that it might be fleet based surprises me, I thought it was just gonna be random pvp bases.

Yes, until we know what exactly "Fleet Starbases" encompass, it would be just guessing (and hoping).

Once Cryptic releases more details and information on Starbases, you can be certain that we all will be discussing this hotly.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if customization is severely limited to a handful of per-fabricated designs, if there's any choice at all.

On that front, I can say that FEG will be all over that as soon as we get something to be all over and our current workload is being intentionally kept light so we're not stuck into anything too involved when this rolls around.

It should, there's usually a big testing drive before season updates. Also, Cryptic have a horrible record of releasing buggy content, or content that breaks something else. Their QA is obviosly not up to par so not putting this on tribble isn't likely to end well.

I love the idea of a UFP base, sounds epic!! I just hope its customisable and not like something generic so that everyones looks the same :/ It would be good if you could contribute to the base and make it bigger like too, that way we would have a pretty big starbase to go at

I do too! I love doing interior work.

I would imagine the main function these fleet bases would provide is empty rooms were the fleet can purchase shops and conveniences such as mail and bank systems for a nominal CP price of course (just another way for them to squeeze more money out of our pockets) and perhaps shops you can buy that are only for fleet bases, perhaps ability to place your logo at various points other than that I don't foresee any other major function to a fleet base, though I'm sure I could be surprised.
