You got me interested since I just switched to an android device. So I found this one, but I believe it is quite old and I couldn't find it in the market: http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=153344

But, what I have going on mine as of this morning is here: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_a...-ui_bnpnt.html It just requires Go Launcher (free) and some nice slim free widgets. It doesn't have sounds, but you can get Star Trek sound apps.

So far it is ok, although most of my previous widgets do not work very well. And icon placement can be challenging. But so far, it's nice!

Ok, so after using this all day and tweaking it with icons and widgets, it is a bit hard to a) find widgets that fit and thus b) make use of the top half of each home screen. Which aren't big concerns, but it does take a bit out of what I liked on my home screen(s) before. If you want to trek out hard core, the Omnicorp LCARS UI (http://www.androidzoom.com/android_a...-ui_bnpnt.html) is a great option. But say goodbye to customizations and find some tiny widgets.

I got a galaxy S3 yesterday, my first proper smartphone. Do you have, or know of, a noob's guide to getting this up and running on that phone?

I don't have a guide, Collier, but here are some basic steps:

• Install GO Launcher EX (free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....go.launcherex
• Install the LCARS theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...startrek&hl=en
• Get a Star Trek soundboard (multiple out there for free or a buck or two)
• Reorganize all icons for 2 weeks

That's the best I can do. Basically, install the two items and then play around for a long time until you get all the icons you want in there. You can change the icon's appearance to the LCARS theme ones so they blend in a lot better.

I kind of want to keep switching back to the baseline themes that came with my phone, but I cannot get over the nerdawesomeness that this theme provides. Plus, people still react funny when my Notification sound of the door chime from TNG goes off!

Tyvm Cayman! I got it installed and a usable icon placement which I'll likely fiddle with endlessly. Found a good soundboard for free, red alert sounds for when the missus calls XD

I installed it and am liking it. But I have one flaw. I have it set up so one of the buttons on my phone goes to my old setup, and one button goes to the new sleek trek look. The problem I have is I can't figure out how to get it to let me set up different wallpapers. It seems that the go launcher and the default android wallpaper have to be set to the same thing. If it wasn't for this, with the press of a button I could go completely from my old setup to my star trek setup. If anyone figures out a way to set a different wallpaper from within Go Launcher that doesn't take away your other wallpaper, let me know.
Also, Dave it should work with any Android. To be sure you can go to the Google play website on your browser and if you are logged into your account google will show you if the app has been checked for your phone.

Clulyan, the wallpaper that comes with the LCARS theme is one of those scrolling wallpapers - you don't want to set a different wallpaper than the theme has. What this does is keeps the LCARS background on all 5 (default) screens so when you slide from one to one, it kind of moves from one section of the LCARS screen to the other.

Bottom line, install the theme and don't mess with the wallpaper.

I understand that. I want to keep that wallpaper inside of the go launcher menus...however, I still have access to my old layout and would like to use a separate wallpaper when I'm not in the go launcher program with lcars menus.

I know this is a bit of Thread Resurrecting but I didn't want to make two threads in one day and look like I was spamming. I am thinking of making my own Trek Theme GUI for Android and figured I'd make a UFP themed one. If someone with access to the Fleet's Art resources could contact me in regards to this I could look into making it.
