Hey folks- just joined the fleet July 19th and see I have been kicked out of the main fleet. I've tried to be active and done roll call. I've done the entrance exam. I understand your trimming the fleet down but not sure what I could have done different to stay in. Can someone direct me where exactly to re-enroll.

I've also been a bit confused how to contribute to the starbase in game. I've activated a few items that were supposed to do that from lock boxes but not sure if they did... Anybody know a good link for a tutorial on that?

Hi there,

It looks as though you removed in error from the fleet. Just request a new by clicking here. Once you've been re-invited, you can contribute to the fleet Starbase via the Fleet panel in-game. It can be pulled up by clicking on the right-most icon just below the mini-map.

Hi Kruzer,

I see that you did indeed pass the entrance exam and are a Petty Officer, making you eligible for "Full Member" status in the in-game fleet. However, the in-game promotion isn't automatic (no coding/mechanism to make it so). Thus one has to put in a Promotion Request.

Thanks for the updates. When I clicked on the links to request promotion to full status I was taken to the same invite form I had filled out write after I joined. Is there another form to become "full status" so I am promoted from cadet because the links you gave me had me do the same thing over again.

Essentially what do I do to get promoted :-) Right now I feel like a Klingon trying to understand a Ferengi stock system, with all the different steps and sections of the UFP web page, lol!

Members no longer need to get promoted in the in-game fleet. We're in a transition period right now as we phase out the use of the cadet rank. New members will need to complete the Entrance Exam before they can request an invite (the process has be streamlined further today).

Hmmm... I just tried it too and it sent me back to fleet invite form. So adding my Machina/Majestic alt to see how the new process works.

And I even after the invite request was submitted, the promotion request sent me back to the invite request.

Perhaps someone in SFO with more familiar knowledge can answer this question?

As I said, the form is no longer necessary and will simply redirect to the fleet invite form if you attempt to access it.

Might want to add a notice to the fleet invite form, though. Some kind of info on why the promotion request isn't needed anymore. Or, of course, remove all references to the promotion request to begin with.

I did get invited back into UFP however now House of Kular has dropped my characters I made another request (4th now since I started at the end of July) to add my characters in.

I really understand the decision to cut out people who are not active/not following protocal. I just wonder what I need to do to get "full status" in the game so I don't keep getting dropped :-)

If you are not a Full Member in the in game fleet, you can become one by taking the Entrance Exam

Then once you completed the min requirements to gain promotion within the fleet you request to become a full member it works for both Fed / HOK

Also the key note the reason why you was removed as stated earlier the cadet rank is been dropped and now min requirements when the new system is in place is to simplify life in the UFP to gain access to full membership in STO and that the reason why you not been able to help in the building of the star-base because you was a cadet rank and they can not contribe .

Thanks Babyhead- I took the entrance exam before ever joining the fleet. I've also know done the fleet invite 4 times now since I started. (I joined in late July)

What I think is happening I am in a group of people just joining as you are changing procedures and I am the "baby thrown out with the bath water" it seems. I've followed all your procedures but I am still ending up on the "bad list" probably because of me just joining before the transition.

All I am requesting is a chance to stay in the fleet(s) :-)

You should be good now - SFO and HoK were just removing all people ranked "Cadet" or "Bekk" in the in-game fleet. You probably hadn't yet had your characters promoted and thus they were removed during the purge. Apologies for the confusion, but as you said, you joined right during a transition period and kind of got caught in the middle.
